Are there any interactions with Neurontin?

Neurontin (generic name gabapentin) is drug that's prescribed for seizures or nerve painsuch as after shingles called postherpetic neuralgia (PPH). Doctors also prescribe it for behavior changes, bipolar disorder, pain disorders, or tremors.Antacids can reduce the absorption of Neurontin into the body. Avoid this effect by separating doses of Neurontin and antacids by at least two hours. Naproxen (Naprosyn) and hydrocodone (Vicodin) may increase the amount of neurontin absorbed in the body which may increase the side effects of neurontin.Sources:Hansten, P.D., J.R. Horn.
