What is TamifluĀ®?


Tamiflu (generic name oseltamivir) is a prescription antiviral medication used to treat the flu (influenza A and B) in patients 1 year of age and older who have had symptoms for no more than 2 days. Tamiflu is also used for preventing the flu in patients age 13 and over who must be in close contact with someone who has the flu. If you feel that you have had flu symptoms for no more than 2 days, or that you are in close contact with someone who has the flu, please contact your doctor to see if Tamiflu is right for you.
