These pads have saved the carpet in my house! I have an elderly dog who is slightly incontinent. She has "chosen" a spot for her accidents (thank Heaven she is consistent in that spot) and I have covered it with these pads and they are doing a wonderful job. They are super absorbent and do not allow the smell to overcome me as other pads I have used did. The alternative was breaking my heart!!!

I use these 36"x36" pads under me at night to keep t he bedding dry in case my diaper leaks. It works very well and I will continue to buy them.

We have an elderly, incontinent Border Collie who sleeps inside during the winter. We've used many different brands of pads to line her crate and while most are absorbent, these are the first that have done a great job neutralizing the ammonia in her urine. Typically, as she lays there her body heat warms the trapped fluid and the smell can get pretty strong by morning: that doesn't happen with these pads. They're more expensive, but totally worth it. My only complaint is that they are a good inch smaller than stated, so they don't hit all of the stays on her cage and so they can come loose during the night.

The size is excellent but the underpad cannot be used for more than a couple of days -- the patient's back/forth movements in bed easily tear the very thin fiber filling to shreds so that he is finally just laying on a piece of plastic.

These underpads are bigger than the other XL ones we've bought. Folded in half, they work well with our cats' litter boxes.
