We have slightly oily scalp and wavy hair. It does not lather like typical sodium lauryl sulfate shampoos, but it does lather well if you do several quick lather/rinse repetitions until your hair is clean enough to make a fluffy lather. People keep saying it's runny, and it's not like a gel, but I find that I can distribute it better if I add a little water to it in my palm before applying it! I would definitely recommend something more substantial for a conditioner than the Green Tea Conditioner. We alternate Rosa Mosqueta and Island Naturals Conditioner. For a SLS free shampoo, which is the point for us, it is a great shampoo. With the right conditioner, it leaves hair clean and shiny, not strawy or oily. In fact, my teen daughter usually heat -styles her hair and it holds for days without any type of gel or hair spray. We get comments on our long, healthy hair frequently. It has a strange consistency, very watery, but it does clean the roots/scalp and leaves it feeling clean. However, it also leaves the rest of your hair very dry even WITH a good conditioner. It lathers okay, but need a lot of the shampoo to work. I like the natural ingredients, but did not like the consistency of the shampoo or the outcome that much. It's also not cheap compared to other organic shampoos, or other oily hair shampoos. I would not recommend this. If you need an organic shampoo, I prefer Desert Essence Lemon shampoo, or if no need for an organic, I prefer the Suave daily clarifying shampoo. Comments about Aubrey Organics Green Tea Clarifying Shampoo, Oily, 11 fl oz: Even though I can't change the genetics of my oily hair, this is by far the best shampoo for my hair. This helps my hair stay less oily for much longer than the typical shampoos I have been using. Some people state that it does not lather well and I'm guessing that they are just not adding enough water to their shampoo and hair. So I think it lathers extremely well. Also it does have a strange texture so the bottle needs to be shaken before applying to make sure you have all the necessary ingredients in your hair with every application. And toping my hair off with the cream makes my hair super silky. Just make sure you do not add any cream to your roots; that will just add fuel to the fire or oil, I should say. I was a little turned off by its smell but got used to it over time. I'm probably not used to the "organic" scent.

Comments about Aubrey Organics Green Tea Clarifying Shampoo, Oily, 11 fl oz: Great shampoo for oily hair and scalp. If you find the right conditioner, it's the perfect shampoo. It's clean, good smell and SLS free. It's better than even those twice higher price ones. It's also great for Asian girls like me.
