This scrub smells great and natural. The ingredients are not lab chemicals. I have oily skin but sometimes it can be flaky as well. The scrub gently gets rid of the flakes and leaves my skin super smooth with no greasy leftovers. I've gotten compliments on my new healthy and non-oily glow. The ingredients listed here on drugstore.com are the same ingredients listed on the actual package - sometimes you have to be careful, as drugstore.com will list good ingredients and not the harmful ones, and you get an unpleasant surprise when the product arrives; happily, drugstore.com was accurate with this product's description.

This is great before shaving. It does help in giving you a slightly closer shave. In addition, it has a subtle pine scent, so if you like pine, then this is for you.

I bought this for my fiance - he likes to use it before shaving. Does what it's supposed to, no frills, I think it gives him less razor burn either because he properly suds up before shaving - or this stuff helps with a smoother shave.

Don't take three stars as it being a horrible product, just one that isn't all that great but it sort of does the job. The smell is similar to bathroom cleaners but not heavily so it's not that bad. It doesn't have nearly enough "scrub" ingredients for my taste. Those two things combined, along with the price is why I gave it three stars. I just don't feel, for the price, that it was worth it.
To be fair, I've yet to find an organic/natural face scrub product that I've liked. This one was far better than the Burt's Bees scrub, that had a horrible smell.

I like to buy quality and natural/organic but I am also frugal- this stuff is worth it. I bought it for my boyfriend (but use it sometimes myself.) He can not get enough of it!! He is not a primper (not "metrosexual") but uses it all the time and loves it. It has smoothed out all his shave bumps. His whole face is baby soft. No more ingrown hairs. AND its all-natural. He has asked me to re-order now 3 times. Highly recommended!!
