She has a full head of hair, and I mean full, so we use different tear free shampoo with detangling to wash her hair, but when she was younger and didn't have has much, this stuff worked great. I've tried everything from Johnson and Johnson's to generic store brands and I have had issues where the J&J body wash has cause a rash to break out on me from just putting my hands in the tub to clean her, so we are a family of people who need gentle mild soap for a skin. Baby is clean, but now I am worried that it dries out his skin a little too much. I don't want him to get eczema, so I only use this for hair and his butt. I use very little of this soap. Babies don't need that much soaping anyway. This bottle might last me for years! My toddler has used this since he was 3 months old and we have never had a problem with it causing a rash or irritation on his sensitive skin. I usually buy a few different brands, depending on which one is on sale, but this is definately one of my favs! I love using organic and all natural products on my kids, especially since the normal el-cheapo brands break my kids out. And, I feel good about what I'm doing for our planet! I love that it's completely tear free for him (he sticks his face in the soapy water sometimes while bathing & never has a problem). His skin & hair are soft and not dry. Avalon baby wash lathers better than California Baby wash, so I use less and save money with Avalon. It cleans a messy toddler better than Dr. Bronner's Magic Skikakai unscented baby wash and doesn't leave any scent (unlike the sugar smell from Dr. Bronner's). Since Dr. Bronner's ingredients seem to be the gentlest and least toxic, followed by California Baby (both local products for me), I rotate between these three baby washes. Still, Avalon baby wash stands as my favorite because it's the most practical for every day use. I've tried a few other brands and I really like this so far. Doesn't bubble much, but that's to be expected. It's unscented, but still leaves a clean smell on baby. Would highly recommend.
