I love the smell of this shampoo! It's like a sliced open a grapefruit in the shower. The shampoo has a nice thick consistency and does an excellent job of gently cleaning your hair. Beware, however, that this shampoo does NOT lather up. It does not contain all the chemical surfactants that would make the bubbles. You might be tempted to add more product to try to make it lather up - don't do it, just pour out a quarter size amount and massage it into the roots of your hair. I also recommend really rinsing your hair well. My hair comes out very soft and with a nice amount of volume. My scalp is naturally very oily so this shampoo most definitely does not dry out my hair. The one disappointing point for me is that it doesn't make my hair very shiny.

I used Avalon shampoos years ago and reverted to store brands. Recently I decided to go back to natural shampoos, and the grapefruit geranium is the best so far. It smells great, lathers well, and cleans thoroughly. No residue or itchy scalp. And unlike some other natural shampoos, it does not tangle my hair. Also lots of bounce without using conditioner. Love this shampoo. Don't ever discontinue it.

This is my new favorite in terms of a more natural shampoo (I have used John Masters, Nature's Gate, etc in the past). It lathers better than the John Masters Rosemary/Lavender shampoo, but it does have a lower score of 4.1 from the GoodGuide compared to JM's 6.2. I love the smell! It's refreshing and invigorating. I do find that it has a "smoothing" effect, my hair is less frizzy afterwards. Overall, it's a great shampoo and I'll definitely be repurchasing, but I'll just alternate between this and JM's shampoo.

The fragrance smells amazingly great, I feel like eating grapefruit while washing my hair. This product also benefits people who have oily hair. I have oily hair, and used to wash my hair almost everyday. But since I use the product, I only wash my hair three times a week, and my hair is not that oily anymore.

I was immediately impressed with how healthy my hair fealt. I have thin straight hair... it breaks easily and gets weighed down easily. This gave worked really well. The only downsides - you have to really scrub with the shampoo to get your hair products out and my hair didn't curl almost at all with a curling iron afterwards. If it weren't for that I'd be a user for life. Smells nice too!

I have used many many "thickening" products on my fine, straight hair. This shampoo works VERY well to cleanse, add shine, and gives a lot of body to my hair. I also use Avalon Organics Shampoo, Thickening, Biotin B-Complex - 14 fl oz.

I have fine hair and it is hard to find a product to clean and condition it without the weight...even those products that claim to be for fine hair. This product not only cleaned my hair but put unbelievable shine and bounce back into it. Now, my hair is light as air, smells great and has bounce and body to match. I give it five stars!!!
