Note: Don't buy this if you're allergic/sensitive to aspirin as it contains willow bark, the natural form of aspirin.

I don't know why I didn't take the time to read the reviews on this, but I wish I had instead of being suckered in by the product description. It sounded like everything I ever wanted, and turned out to be everything I didn't.

I have normal/dry skin that is slightly sensitive and prone to redness (but isn't rosacea).

The first time I used it, I thought maybe I had put too much on, even though I'm usually light-handed with moisturizers, so I washed my face and went on about my day. I've tried it a few times since then, and no matter how sparingly I apply it, my face is always greasy-feeling within a few minutes of applying and downright oily within an hour.

I never did get the burning feeling others did, but after trying it a few times, my skin did break out quite badly, which it hasn't done in years.

I figured I could use it up on my arms and elbows, but it caused me to break out there as well, so I suppose I'll have to toss it and make a note to remember to read the reviews first.

The only con is the packaging. It's hard to get the last bit of product. I'd prefer a jar so I don't have to waste anything.

I used this skin lotion along with Avalon shower gel and facial care products for years as a substitute for far more expensive Aveda products and liked them well enough. However, I suffered from severe sinus problems the whole time I used these products. Furthermore, though I tried every homeopathic and over-the-counter sinus remedy known to mankind, I continued to suffer with little to no relief.

Then, one day, on a hunch of a friend, I decided to switch to a shower gel, skin care lotion and skin cream that contained no lavender and was formulated for sensitive skin. Amazingly, after not using any Avalon products for a week, my sinuses began to clear up and heal.

That is when I realized that my friend was right! I was allergic to the lavender base in all Avalon products! So be careful! Even though products like the Avalon brand have quality ingredients, they can still turn out to not be good for you if you have an allergy to one or more of the ingredients.

I have been looking for the product for a while after discovering it in one of our guest bathrooms. A few online stores carry it, Drugstore.com was the most expensive place by quite alot but it was part of a larger order so I proceeded. If that is all I need next time, I may not order it from this vendor.

I don't really know what happened to my skin lately when I became 41 but my face looked terrifyingly messed up. I had dry, leathery skin, deeper lines, blotches and dark spots, oh and all of a sudden I ended up with adult acne.
Granted I have never used a moisturizer before because everything made my face break out. Around my age however moisturizing is a must. Since I already used the Avalon body lotion and just loved it, I figured why not try their entire facial line for sensitive skin. Honestly I should have done that sooner! My face is looking soft again, fine lines and even deeper lines have disappeared, my acne is almost gone and I love the Lavender smell. I also use the night version but the day SPF Lavender renewal lotion truly makes my skin glow! I get a lot of compliments and it has taken years of my face.

I use this moisturizer every day after washing and using toner on my skin. It goes in quickly but a little goes a long way. It has a very soft smell to it and it is great because it has an SPF18 in it. Will definitely buy this product again.

Since reviews on this product were all over the map, I have normal skin. I was skeptical of some of the bad reviews so I decided to give it a try since it had some very good reviews too. I'd say the bad reviews are closer to accurate. First off, this stuff smells STRONG when you put it on. The smell fades, but the first 15 minutes or so is almost nauseating. If you LOVE REALLY STRONG Lavendar smells, you won't mind it the first 15 minutes or so. The other thing is, despite having normal skin, this stuff IS a little too greasy compared to other face creams I've used. And yes, it does sting a little around sensitive areas I'm guessing because it is SPF 18 and has a high concentration of chemical sunblocks and possibly the scent component may contribute to the stinging. If you are sensitive to smell, looking for a very lightweight product, or have skin a little oilier than normal side, you won't like this as an everyday face cream. It's more like a strong scented sun tan lotion.

i like to use this product on my face & body as a daily moisturizer lotion. it's a little bit greasy but it works really well.

Wanted to love it but it stings my face, maybe just use it as a general SPF lotion? Some reviews said it's not for faces, but the label says it is. Smell is great and it's light and not greasy.
