I have gotten great results with this product and use it sparingly twice a week - I always get compliments, people think I have had hair extensions or something done, but it's just that this shampoo (together with the conditioner) does an excellent job of making my thin hair look thicker, fuller and just plain great.

A little background first:
- I'm 41
- my hair is long, wavy, fine/medium texture, slightly oily scalp
- I live in the desert in New Mexico, but my hair started thinning some 10 years ago while living in rainy London, UK.
It works! As far as thinning hair is concerned, all I want is to keep my strands on top of my head, not on the floor, the pillow, around the bathtub. I've been to several doctors and the cause for my thinning hair is hormonal imbalance. Oral contraceptives were the only medication that helped, but now, trying to get pregnant, I had to stop with contraceptives and hair was falling all over the house again.
I bought this shampoo but really skeptical of its effectiveness. And lots of reviews complained about the smell. What I found out is:
- it has a fresh, herbal scent. I like it. It's a matter of taste only.
- as it's a treatment shampoo, I prefer to leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing out. I shampoo twice: first and very quickly using a deep cleanse Neutrogena shampoo. Then I apply Avalon, wrap my hair in a bun, and go about my shower routine, soap, shaving, whatever. I only rinse it out after at least 5 minutes. It gives a nice tingling sensation while it's on. Then I rinse it really well, apply a deep conditioner only to the length of my hair, and rinse it abundantly, with tepid/cold water. Whoever has thinning hair should NEVER wash it with hot water.
It works for me. Hair feels fuller, shinier and manageable. Use a gentle wooden comb, specially while it still damp. The difference is clearly noticeable.

Love the ckean fresh scent. Love the way me hair smells/feels after using. Also usually have a problem with static in the winter,but not at all with this product!!!

I bought this shampoo mainly because of the good reviews said it works for less falling hair. Well, it does not work for me. My hair still fall that much every day in the shower or comb it. I do not see any improvement of that.
And I need to use a lot to wash my hair. More than the normal shampoo I used before.
I also notice that my hair will get more oily look than I used the normal shampoo before.
The smell is strong when open the bottle, but after when you wash your hair, rinse it off, you barely smell anything.

Overall, it just a shampoo that can clean my hair when I use it a lot. It does not reduce my hair falling as it says. I probably will switch to another kind when I finish this bottle.

First things first. I don't know if these are just bots posting reviews but all that stuff being said is false. I used the entire shampoo bottle of this product and it only caused extreme dryness and dandruff. I suggest people start reading ingredients of these products. Benzyl Alcohol dries the skin and Sodium Sulphate destroys hair follicles. Both are found in this shampoo and many commercial brands. Bottom line, It does not work. Best thing to do for hair restoration is watch your nutrition and use food.

After menopause I found that my hair lost much of its fullness and body. I tried this shampoo to see if it could make a difference and was gratefully surprised to see and feel results after the first use. It lathers well, makes my hair feel clean and provides fullness and volume that had been lacking. I would highly recommend this product to anyone wanting to add volume to hair.

I use this and follow with their biotin conditioner. Does exactly what I want; cleans my hair and doesn't have sodium laureth sulfate, which will speed up the baulding process and damage the hair folicle with prolonged and daily use. Great for a runner who likes to keep hair from being greasy and shampoos daily.

I use the product daily, but it seems like I could skip a day, but haven't tried yet. I have used a full week. Immediately with one use, I thought my hair fell out less and the fullness of my hair was better. After about three times, my scalp stopped breaking out from being too dry. I like how emolient it is. A little goes a long way. I add water to distribute the suds in my long, below shoulder length hair. Each use has produced less fall out and at the crown where I would often feel a 'part,' it is staying filled in with hair. The smell is fresh and clean. The hair feels very clean after use. All around satisfied for a change with a product. Usually I don't have great results with claims on products, but finally this is one that works as it is suppose to work.
