To those who find the product drying; I use a few tspns of pure silk powder, and/or a few drops (use a measuring spoon) of safflower oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, and/or palm oil. I sometimes experiement with adding herbs like sage (powder). I hear that hibiscus is also very good for the hair....haven't tried that yet, but knowing me, I will... ;.)

Heres a shampoo I simply enjoy using occasionally primarily for the clean and cool tingling I get during the shampoo. It's a good shampoo although sometimes leaves a sticky residue which requires some extra rinse time. No big deal. Just a fun novelty item to have fun with.

this is an ok shampoo. i'm going to finish the bottle, but there's probably some better all natural shampoos out there.

good: SMELLS GREAT!, cleans well

bad: i think it may dry out my hair (cleans too well maybe?)

my hair is oily so this did not work so well on my hair, but it works fantastic on my 2 year old, cleans thoroughly, and she loves the smell

I was so disappointed to see the negative reviews of this product because I absolutely love it. I use it every other day in the shower and the scent is superb! I feel invigorated all over. My hair is also left very shiny and incredibly heahtly in appearance. *Of course, I use the conditioner too. My suggestion is that you try it at least once and form your own opinion but ... for me ... I am sticking with it.

I used both the shampoo and conditioner and the smell was sensational, but that was about it. It left my hair feeling oily and almost as if the shampoo had left a coating on my hair. I really wanted to like this product because it smells so great, but I was very disappointed.

My favorite shampoo - and I have tried many. I love the smell which is mint with other botanical undertones. Very refreshing! (If you want pure mint, this isn't it.) I am moderately sensitive to scents and can tolerate this extremely well. An excellent cleansing shampoo that is just a bit drying (good, as I have somewhat oily hair); I use it every day. Leaves no residue, which is what I want.

Smells terrible -- though it works OK as a shampoo. Didn't smell at all like mint to me.

This has got to be the worst shampoo on the market. It tangles my hair so badly that it feels like a wad of straw. Oh, use the Avalon Organics conditioner you say. That is another disapointment. I squeeze a very generous amount to put on the wad of straw and it feels no different. Then I try to comb out the tangles. Needless to say, I lose alot of hair after shampooing with this.
