I'm 18 years old with combination and acne prone skin. Prior to using this moisturizer, I never thought to ever put lotion on my face because some areas of my skin are already oily. Since the weather became colder, I developed dry flaky areas in the corners of my nose and every winter for the past two years I've also developed a brown, dry patch under my lip on one side. I have no idea why it only comes up in that one area but it was very dry as well to the point that it became permanently discolored. This cream is quite thick and moisturizes very well so it has healed these troublesome areas. I'm sure those with severe dry areas as I had or dry skin will find this product to be very effective. Although this cream contains many oils, it did not clog my pores or cause any more breakouts. In fact, I've seen a significant improvement in the texture and clarity of my skin. I could not be more happier with the results of this product. All of my acne began to heal after applying this lotion at bedtime every night with noticable results after only a couple of days. I wouldn't recommend applying this during the daytime, however, as it can leave the skin greasy looking. Sometimes I apply a thin layer anyway though, because I really want my skin to continue improving. It leaves my skin glowing and noticeably soft. My skin has never looked or felt so good. Keep in mind that my skin is combination so I am originally oily in some spots so for those with extra dry skin, the product may be absorbed much quicker. There is a strong lavender smell but it isn't a really heavy purfumed smell to the point that I get a headache. I only smell it while applying so it isn't too bad. When I initially apply, the lotion stings my face a bit for about 30 seconds. I'm not sure if it is indeed the lotion or my intense scrubbing before, but even the slight stinging at first is worth the results :) VS Most Liked Negative Review Horrible new formula I used to love this! I am so sad and angry at the same time about the obvious change to this once wonderful product. This is my third time purchasing this cream but this time I was shocked to find that it has been changed and it is horrible now. It is thick and dry in the pot and that doesn't change once applied. It does NOT absorb at all and sits on your skin, ultimately turning your face into one big mess. I have pimples in places I have NEVER GOTTEN PIMPLES BEFORE! Under my eyes, on my cheeks even! Even worse, my skin is extra dry as a result of using it (because using this is basically using NOTHING) and my skin is so taught and dry you can see the poor dry lines when I pull it or smile. AND, the pores on my nose are so clogged that they are actually "raised" so I can not only SEE them, but I FEEL them when I touch my nose. IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE!?! This was a lifesaver for me a year ago. Now I don't know what to do. Pros

But oh no they changed the formula and pretty much took all the good stuff out. It currently just sits on my face like a freaking mask and it does not soak in making my face break-out. Cold weather has only made this worse, to the point of flaky red patches on my cheeks. I needed something more than my daily moisturizer to help heal overnight. THIS IS IT! Light fragrance, not overly oily, and a little goes a long way! My skin looks better than it has in years and is much more balanced. (NOTE: I use the Avalon Organics lavender facial cleansing milk and the Avalon Organics therapeutic lavender daily cream with this product.) Will purchase again for sure! Pros

Comments about Avalon Organics Ultimate Moisture Cream, Lavender, 2 fl oz: I was not looking forward to the new formula of my favorite Avalon Lavender night cream. The new updated bodylotion lavender is not as good as the old version. So I bought Lavender Luminosity thinking I probably need to look for a new night cream soon. Boy was I wrong. First off this new version is not as "watery" as the old one. It also soaks up into my skin asap leaving my face look very smooth, soft and hydrated. It also made my large pores smaller and although the older version would brighten my face pretty well, this new version brightens and "lights up" my face and by that I mean, all little blemishes seemed to have disappeared after 3 days of using this and my 44 year old face easily looks like a 28 year old (according to my hubby). I don't think it does a lot for my smiley lines or forehead furrow for that I still use a department store lifting cream (Clinique). But for the rest of my face this new lavender night cream is truly miraculous, a total improvement compared to the old version. Thank you Avalon for making me look this good.  Pros

I use it with Humphreys Witch Hazel and Lilac Skin Softening Facial Toner. I also have the Avalon Organics Lavender Toner but the Humphreys is more gentle and non-irritating to me. I am in my mid 40's, have combination/oily skin and often use at home facial peels (glycolic and salacylic) and this moisterizer helps calm and renew my skin with no break outs. I use it nightly and after peels. Pros
