This is a moderately-heavyweight cream that is very impressive for a drugstore brand. I've had creams twice this cost that weren't as gentle, didn't smell as nice (very clean-smelling, not over the top) & weren't as moisturizing. I have fairly dry skin, that is dry in the T-zone & normal in the cheeks (I know, the opposite of most people, but it's true). It's wonderful for the dry parts. It's a tad heavy, leaving my skin a bit oily in the cheeks the next morning. Normally, my skin isn't oily at all in the morning. But for the level of hydration, the lack of breaking me out & the price, I'm happy. And a little goes a long way with this, too.

I'm fond of Aveeno's new Smart Essentials night cream. It gives great results, and in spite of the fact that the fragrance is very strong, I still appreciate it. However, the active ingredient, Southernwood, was once used to dye clothes yellow. I have noticed after using this cream nightly for two months that my complexion is taking on a distinctly saffron cast. Luckily all it took to reverse this effect was to switch out the night cream for an AHA for a little while. Now I am switching back and forth between the Aveeno night cream and the AHA and it is working out fine. On a completely different note, I would be curious to see the results of a self-tanner blending Southernwood with erythrulose, as it might produce a softer result than DHA. I wonder how this product would react if you used it alternately with a self-tanner? In any case, it's easy enough to reverse the unintended side effect if you don't like it. I recommend the product with only slight reservations.

I break out when a breeze blows too strong, so anti-breakout moisturizers dry me out, while anti-aging moisturizers break me out. Aveeno's Active Naturals line seemed to be working for me, so I gave this a go...IT'S GOLD!!! Not only does this stuff moisturize, it smells delicious, and my breakouts are a thing of the past. Stock up, because this stuff sells for almost twice as much in national chain-drugstores.

I had read some reviews about this product where someone said it turned their skin yellow and that the perfume in it is too strong. I have been using this product for a few weeks now and my skin has NOT turned yellow. The fragrance is pleasant, and doesn't linger. My skin tends to break out and I was a bit wary of using this product for that reason, but so far my skin feels smooth and healthy. If you live in a very humid climate, then you might want to avoid creamy products of you tend to break out.

Though I was excited about this product, I was in slight disbelief of some of the claims made by reviewers. However, the product really does make my skin feel incredibly smooth and clean, and I notice that my dark spots are considerably lighter the next morning after use. My boyfriend always comments on how good I smell before bed - thanks Aveeno!

I use this product only at night after cleaning my face with foaming Aveeno Cleanser, within a week of using I noticed my spots getting lighter. I have been using this product for a month and my dark spots are lightning. Love it no more concealer and have stopped using fundation daily, only for special events.

My skin is not sensitive type, but after using other expensive brand cream, I had troubles to restore the balance back. This cream helped so much! It moisturizers really well. After each application skin feels like it got more pores opened up to breeze! Love the feel of this cream! And with the price like that, bits all expensive brand creams.
