I love the gentle smell, I love the texture of this lotion. can be used daily after shower or bath. perfect for babies skin, and just as effective on adult skin. the long lasting calming lotion is absorbed evenly WITHOUT leaving a greasy feel. I love this lotion, especially after the calming wash.

I bought this lotion to use on my daughter after her nightly bath. At first I thought it smelled great, but after it settled on her skin (and my hands), it turned rancid. It reminds me of a nursing home. I think Huggies Lavender and Chamomile lotion smells much better. I don't think I will be able to make it through the bottle with this one.
Actually I bought this for my elderly mother. She is always scratching at her dry skin and nothing else seemed to work. She loves the product and the light scent as well.
i discovered this product when i had my first child.I now use it all the time with all my kids. It's a great product.love the smell, texture. I use it afterbaths.
I don't wear this in the daytime, but I put it on after my nightly shower for both moisture & as a bedtime stress reliever. It does seem to aid that relaxed feeling one needs to go to sleep. My mother, who hates lavender like the plague, actually loves this on me. There's no discernable lavender scent in it, actually. I can't really say it's vanilla, either. It's just nice, and doesn't smell too powdery (which I would hate). I really like Aveeno because the products don't seem to be overwhelming with heavy fragrance, the packaging is nice & neutral, and the aren't drying. I wish this were richer, because my skin is quite dry. But for the price, a winner!
I purchased this product partly because I love Aveeno products in general and partly because of the great reviews.
However, I'm not all that happy with this lotion. It's thick and feels nice as you rub it in, but it seems no matter how long you rub it in it leaves behind this almost chalky, powdery residue. It also doesn't absorb very well, so you feel it on your hands after applying it to baby forever! Unless you wash your hands right after.
Not sure how great this lotion works long term, because I just can't seem to keep it on, it's just really uncomfortable compared to other baby lotions out there. If you're looking for something quick absorbing without residue, I don't think this is for you :(
Nasty. Smelled nothing like lavendar and vanilla. Insead it was overly-perfumy, smelled discusting like an old person or something and actually gave me a headache, and I'm not even sensitive to smells. The original aveeno that has no smell is amazing- buy that instead. I won't be using this on myself OR my baby. And I can't even return it. Dang. Don't buy anything if you can't smell it first. Lesson learned.
I'm not a fan of heavy fragrance (including the high amount of lavender in "adult" lotions , including ones that claim to be calming aromas). I bought this because I figured it wouldn't be too highly fragranced, because Aveeno products never break me out or bother my skin & because moisturizing my hands & feet is a part of my bedtime routine. I loved the Neutrogena products I was using, but they're not fragranced, and I just needed a little aromatherapy! My first thought upon smelling this was "Ew, this smells way too much like baby products, that baby powder smell." (I have no children, and trust me, that isn't my favorite thing.) Naturally, though, they are not marketing this to me, but to babies, so I completely get that's personal preference. But for some reason, this has grown on me. It's a good moisturizer, but doesn't get my sheets all oily. It does help soothe me a bit, and has become a part of a nice bedtime ritual.
