Most shave creams are foams. That means they are mostly air, which does nothing to hydrate your face and soften your beard prior to shaving. But Aveeno is a thick gel... and because of its colloidal oatmeal, it stays thick on your face, instead of turning to foam like the other shave gels. Because it retains that thickness (or viscosity) it does clog your razor somewhat. So I keep an old toothbrush on hand, and gently clean off the razor a couple of times during the shave. It's a tiny bit of a bother, but so worth it. I have tried all the shave creams, and this one is head and shoulders above the others in terms of preventing razor nicks. It is the only one I have found, that enables me to shave without cutting my face... and especially my neck... to pieces. Just try it once, and you'll never go back.

I have used this product for years. However, over the last few months, every can I've bought has given a blast of propellant when I've tried to use it, turning the gel to foam and filling my nose with something really unpleasant (the propellant, I think)! I recently was visiting relatives and found a can I had left there before this started happening. The old can gave out gel, no hissing, no foul smell. They need to go back to their old packer! I have always liked the product but am about to stop using it.
Great feel and consistency, lasted for a long time because a small amount is all you need. Didn't aggravate my dry skin, in fact it's very moisturizing and gentle.
I keep going back and forth with cheap shave creams and am never really pleased with them. I have tried a few other higher end and all natural creams and though good was still not satisfied. This one does everything I want and kick myself for not trying it sooner.
This is a great product. i use it every time i shave my face. And it slides on so nicely. And it doesn't have the scent of most guys shaving lotions. I have been using for years. And will do it for many more.
This shaving cream is really soothing and moisturizing. My husband and I both use it - while it's a bit more pricey than many other brands, a can lasts a long time! Well worth the price.
Normal women's shaving creams weren't working for my eczema-prone legs, so I tried this after reading some reviews. It is SO much better than those made-for-women products. I have had much better results with this & highly recommend!
Good shaving product, however if you shave and leave the can in shower like I do, it will rust and cause stains on the fiberglass. Other shaving creams like Edge & Gillette do not.
