I love this product so much; it moisturizes, stays on, and DOESN'T leave a glossy finish which I prefer. Also, since its not glossy or sticky, you can easily use a lipstick or gloss over it. Another great plus is that it doesn't have any flavor at all, so you don't have to worry about not liking it. The stick is wide, so it easily covers you lips in one sweep. I'm glad I don't have to bring back 10 at a time from Japan anymore. VS Most Liked Negative Review Average This is a very good balm for maintaining lips that are already in relatively good shape. My lips can get so dry the skin actually hardens, and I found that, for me, this balm is not very soothing. It helps a tiny bit with the stinging and discomfort from chapped lips, but it does little to alleviate the dryness or plump up the skin . It's a light, waxy stick that has the scent of "classic" cold cream. It's not an unpleasant scent, but it's not my favorite aroma for lips, by any means. I've tried using this balm for bedtime lip care, but it usually doesn't last on my lips even long enough for me to fall asleep without reapplying. If I thoroughly exfoliate my lips, this softens them a little, but I have to apply it about once an hour if I want my lips to retain moisture. I usually wind up putting Korres or Fresh on top of it. This may work nicely to help prevent chapped lips, but if you need lip therapy it may be too mild. Reviewed by 23 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » 2/3/2012 Soothing Pros

Comments about Avene Cold Cream Lip Balm, .14 oz: I started using this when I was in Paris 10 years ago and have not found anything that I like anywhere near as much. This stuff is so smooth and healing without drying my lips or leaving a residue. I actually give this as gifts.... seems silly but I love it! Comments about Avene Cold Cream Lip Balm, .14 oz: I read a recommendation on this product for people who struggle with dry/chapped lips. I was hesitant at first because of how expensive it was. But after a week of use I was convinced it was worth the price. I've repurchased multiple times and maintain healthy looking lips! Comments about Avene Cold Cream Lip Balm, .14 oz: I orginally learned about this product from my dermatologist. I love it so much. My lips sometimes would get to the point where they are chapped, cracked and hurt. A days worth of this product and you feel the heeling effect working. It goes deep into the lips unlike some products that sit on top of your lips, because of the cold cream in it, you can't go wrong. Comments about Avene Cold Cream Lip Balm, .14 oz: I love my other Avene product and was hesitant to spend the money on something that didn't get such great reviews. I was desperate to do something for my conically dry lip so I bought it anyway. It was everything the reviews said. It makes my lips a funny color, goes on a little to think, peels off funny if you use it all the time. I came up with a great way to make it work for me though. I use it first thing in the morning, after shower, before makeup and before bed. I then use my regular chap stick during the day as needed. I found that i use my regular stuff far less now and my lips don't split over night in the dead of winter. Worth the full price? Not at all. Has a place in my cosmetics. Sure. I probably won't invest in it again, though there is so much it will probably last me the rest of my life at the rate I'm using it. :P Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend (0 of 1 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? Best Uses Comments about Avene Cold Cream Lip Balm, .14 oz: I love my other Avene products, but this lip balm has disappointed me. It wears off quickly and is not very moisturizing. It also leaves a white film, making it suitable only for nighttime use. Given the price, it's a huge letdown. Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful?
