The UV light is quite strong in Colorado. I suffered photosensitization and sunburn last summer.
This year when I used the sunscreens with chemical filter, I found myself got a red, itch and fevered face. So I tried to find sunscreen without chemical filter. I found this one. It does a good job on me.
At least it does not cause allergic reactions. I hope it could help me safely go through this summer.

I have very sensitive skin and often find that when I use chemical sunscreens along with my moisturizer and foundation, I experience a breakout. This sunscreen protects and may even help make my skin better. It's true it leaves a white "ghost-like" haze on the skin, but that effect does disappear throughout the day, and if you apply foundation or a powder on top, it lessens the appearance. I'm trying to wear sunscreen every day, and this product definitely makes it easy to do that.

I have sensitive skin. I tried many brands of sun block lotion before. But they have irritated my skin until I use Avene years ago. This product is very gentle and feels smooth on my skin. It works very well under the sun. The white color makes me look a few years younger. But don't forget to wash it out before you go to bed at night.

Pros:
Mild scent that didn't conflict with my perfume.
Very effective sunscreen and non-greasy so I was able to use it on my shoulders and arms daily without feeling gross.
Has a tint to counteract the white color of its sunblocking agents. The tint is pinkish, so maybe not well suited to those with medium and dark skin tones (not that medium and dark skin toned people probably go through a whole lot of SPF 50, but I'm putting it out there just in case anyone does).

This is the only sunscreen I buy now.

This is the sunscreen that I will definitely buy again! It's not greasy and sticky for my combination skin. Plus I feel my skin brightened wearing this product. I LOVE IT!

I bought this product after I received a sample of it at a convention. I put it on my three year old's face. She has very sensitive skin and also has a light pink port wine birthmark on her cheek. This sunscreen is highly effective and, I think, calms her skin down and evens out the tone. The tinting of the lotion helps with that, but it also can stain clothing if it comes in contact with it before being rubbed into the skin. However, I will probably always buy this product, it's that good. We use it all year round.

I love this sunscreen, it gives me such a peace of mind when I'm out in the sun. It DOES have a white cast, but it rubs in and isnt noticeable after a few minutes. That being said, it is probably best for fairer skin tones as the white cast might be a problem for others.

Very disappointed with this product. Irritated my skin. I came to expect more from Avene. Leaves white streak on skin.
