I bought this product to try because it seemed to have some decent reviews and because I love their thermal water. The cleanser did not seem to remove my makeup and seemed to irritate and redden my skin alittle. I will not re-purchase.

I love this gel cleanser so much! I have had it for about 2 weeks and I can already tell it has helped my complextion. It is light but still gets all of my makeup off and feels so clean after washing.

Used many cleansing products, this is the only one I still stick with. Soft gel, perfectly clean, easy rinse off and leaves only moisture on skin, that's all I want from daily cleansing.

i was introduced to this line by a wonderful cosmetics saleswoman with years of experience...as the best value for quality! she was correct. i also love lancome and la mer, but avene products and their pricing can't be beat.
i have EXTRMELY sensitive skin which can easily turn bright red and itchy.
love this cleanser and the cream for intolerant skin.

Best applied to dry skin, massaged in, then rinsed away. The best cleansing product I've ever used. Worth every penny!

I am a big fan of the Avene Thermal Water spray can, but this product was a huge disappointment. This cleanser is sadly ineffective and left my skin feeling unclean. It does NOT remove eye makeup, and only partially removes face makeup. I had to wash my face 3 times get all of the foundation off my skin, yet I still had black racoon rings around my eyes. My skin felt as if it had a bit of residue on it so I used an alcohol-free toner and the cotton pad turned up a LOT of unremoved makeup! To be fair I also tried using this in the morning (makeup free face) and once again my skin just didn't feel clean at all. Sorry, Avene, you struck out on this one...

I don't like any artificial smell, but this product doesn't smell at all. I am sensitive to certain chemicals, and I had a bad experience with some brand name products. But I don't feel any pain at all. And the best of all, price is reaonable yet I feel safe to use this.

Like others, I started using this line from France while I lived in Europe. This cleanser and the rest of the products (love the anti aging ones) beat anything I've ever used for glowing skin. Several times I've run out before it was easier to get in the US and went to expensive dermatologist brands and the change was dramatic... Avene works so much better. So glad drugstore.com carries it now.
