This cleanser is sadly ineffective and left my skin feeling unclean. It does NOT remove eye makeup, and only partially removes face makeup. I had to wash my face 3 times get all of the foundation off my skin, yet I still had black racoon rings around my eyes. My skin felt as if it had a bit of residue on it so I used an alcohol-free toner and the cotton pad turned up a LOT of unremoved makeup! To be fair I also tried using this in the morning (makeup free face) and once again my skin just didn't feel clean at all. Sorry, Avene, you struck out on this one... Comments about Avene Gentle Gel Cleanser, 6.76 fl oz: I don't like any artificial smell, but this product doesn't smell at all. I am sensitive to certain chemicals, and I had a bad experience with some brand name products. But I don't feel any pain at all. And the best of all, price is reaonable yet I feel safe to use this.
