Comments about Avent 3-in-1 Electric Steam Sterilizer, 1 ea:

This sanitizer is very easy to use. You pour in water, put in the stuff to be sanitized, and push the button. In a couple of minutes, you can remove the steamy and sanitized items. I keep it on the counter next to my sink, and just place washed items in it until I have enough to run it.

This leads me to one of two critiques. First, this thing takes a ton of counter space. The footprint is almost as large as my KitchenAid mixer. There are multiple bins you can add as well, and if you use all at once, it is also ridiculously tall. Additionally, because the base is detached from the bins to allow you to select the size you need, it is awkward to move around. It makes it unwieldy to try to take this in and out of a cupboard every time you want to use it.

The other characteristic that keeps me from giving this a 5 star rating is the overall appearance. It is white plastic, and it looks it.

Finally, it isn't as if you really need the instructions (you really do just dump water in and push the button), but it drives me crazy when companies put a dozen different models into the same manual. "If you have model 1234, continue to paragraph 2(e). If you have model 1235, skip to paragraph 7(a)." Just write a new manual.

All in all, I like this thing. While I don't really have a way to test how well it actually does the sanitizing thing, the big old whoosh of steam makes me feel good when I use it on the little ones' bottles, binkies, and toys.

I was given this product.
