This product was recommended to me years ago. It helped me solve my dry scalp problems. Now I don't use it as regularly but I keep it on hand. When I have dry scalp flare-ups this is an effective remedy. It's gentle, which is important to me because I color and relax my hair, and it smells nice, unlike some other medicated shampoos. And, together with other products in the line, it keeps my hair shiny, healthy and clean.

I've used this shampoo for years on my hip-length relaxed hair and it really works to alleviate dry, itchy scalp. It lathers well, cleans thoroughly and seems to help detangle. Used along with the Dry & Itchy Scalp Conditioner, I've noticed marked results in my own scalp. My only criticism is the 5-minute leave-in period on the instructions. I wash my hair in the shower and I don't want to stand there for 5-minutes with shampoo in my hair. I usually cut that step down to 2 minutes or so and I haven't noticed any difference in the effectiveness of the shampoo. Definitely worth a try if you have dry, itchy scalp.

loved it. His hair feels clean and his dry
scalp soothed. As an added bonus, it doesn't
have that strong, unpleasant smell usually found

I am really disappointed in this shampoo. After the first use, my scalp was itching like crazy (more so than usual), and my hair looked dry and flyaway. I thought maybe I was just having a bad hair day, so I tried it again, twice, with the same result. Waste of money :(

I had first bought this product from our local hair salon. Once I ran out, I tried to purchase other products for my problematic scalp. The other shampooes and conditioners only made my scalp problem worse. I am very thankful that Drugstore.com carries this product. I recommend using both the shampoo and conditioner. They really do help with soothing dry and itchy scalps.
