Once I started using it, I realized the soft (black) side, is just like ANY other scrub, any of the 3 scrubs I've had at least. The other (RED) side is the side that's a bit useful for cleaning deep and is something you don't find in other scrubs HOWEVER it's designed not big enough and you have to cover all the areas while being careful not to hurt yourself because it's kinda rough and harsh on the skin. This is my second time buying this and I don't want to go back to using a wash cloth exclusively. It really digs in and removes dirt and grime.
