Comments about AZO Urinary Tract Infection Test Strips, 3 ea: These are extremely helpful. I have MS and take a type of immunosuppressive drug that is administered as a monthly infusion. It is not uncommon for MS patients to have UTIs either in the absence of any symptoms or sometimes even with symptoms that the person just doesn't attribute to a UTI (and therefore, wouldn't seek treatment for it since he/she doesn't know it is occurring). I use the AZO test prior to each monthly infusion, since it is not safe to administer the drug if I have any uncontrolled / untreated infections. With the AZO at home test, if there is evidence of an infection I can get into see my doctor for evaluation / treatment prior to my next infusion. This is seriously sooo easy to use. I'm colorblind and I can even read the results since all you have to do is compare your sample strip to the packaging. Super easy, super inexpensive! Cons Best Uses Comments about AZO Urinary Tract Infection Test Strips, 3 ea: I suffer from recurrent bladder infections. My doctor started thinking that maybe it is IC since my urine was always sterile when I gave a sample at his office. So I bought a couple of strips to monitor myself at home. It turned out, there were white blood cells in my urine now and then so the infection/inflammation was coming and going. The strips were very useful. I did however to switch to more complex strips which also show Ph, blood and protein. Cons Best Uses Comments about AZO Urinary Tract Infection Test Strips, 3 ea: I had a total hip replacement in 6/2008. One of the major infections that can cause infections in joint replacements is those that cause UTI. I recently found out, after developing Sepsis from an untreated UTI, is that I do not have any of the usual symptoms of UTI, until I actually get very ill. After two rounds of antibiotics and a clean culture I thought I was in the in the clear of the infection. My doctor recommended these strips, and has instructed me to test once a week. 12 days after finishing my last round of Cipro I began to feel ill again. Just a headache, decreased appetite and very tired. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend (6 of 6 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? By Incredibly Disappointed! from PA describe yourself I Suffer with Severe IC Pros

Comments about AZO Urinary Tract Infection Test Strips, 3 ea: I've tried them all and this is the most reliable. I have severe and chronic Interstitial Cystitis. The pain and side effects of this disease mimic a bad urinary tract infection. When I get bad flare ups, I would have no way of knowing whether or not they were flares or real infections, if I didn't have these test strips. They are essential for someone like me (and they need to be reliable). I was using another brand that shall remain nameless that was giving me false negatives for God knows how long (makes me sick to think about it). I couldn't understand why the test strips kept saying everything was fine, but I was in so much pain. I went to the doctors office and had a severe urinary tract infection (and it did not even register at any level with this other brand I had been using for nearly two years)! On the way home, we bought one of these and tested it's accuracy. Sure enough it confirmed that I had a terrible urinary tract infection and yet it still registered as normal with another test strip I pulled out from the other company. I was furious, but glad to have found these! I have also used the kind they use in doctors offices (Bayer Multistix) and these are just as accurate! They use the same technology and everything. The only difference is that these are much larger and easier to read. Azo test strips have yet to fail me. I also found that many fellow ICers use this brand as well. If you get frequent urinary tract infections or have IC, I recommend getting those plastic dosing cups from a medical supply and using them to collect specimens when using these test strips (It doesn't work for me to try and hold this in my urine stream). I always miss! You can get a whole bunch of those cups dirt cheap. I am just grateful to have found these! Thank you Azo!! Comments about AZO Urinary Tract Infection Test Strips, 3 ea: This product is great. I had only mild symptoms of a UTI. I bought this kit and it tested positive. I went to the doctor. He looked at their testing strip and said "You lit up the board, girl!". I had a serious infection. Had I not bought this kit I would never had known. This should be a staple for people with frequent UTIs. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend (9 of 9 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful?
