When using this product avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs rinse thoroughly with water. Consult a doctor prior to use on children less than six months of age. Apply a test patch to a small area on the skin 24 hours in advance. Stop use and ask a doctor if skin becomes irritated or a rash develops, persists or worsens. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
This is the only sunscreen I can find that has both zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. Those are the only ingredients that keep me from burning. Any other sunscreen, even 50+, allows me to burn in under an hour. (I have medium to fair caucasian skin, blue eyes and brown hair).
This does not have an annoying smell. As a matter of fact, it smells slightly chalky when first applied, but it absorbs well. If you apply it 15 minutes or more before entering the water, it resists water for quite a while. You must be completely DRY to apply this sunscreen. So, if your kids are just out of the pool, make sure they are completely dried before you reapply. Even damp skin will make it difficult.
Anyway, I am back to order more of this sunscreen, so I would recommend it for all fair- or sensitive-skinned people, including children or babies.
I prefer to avoid using sunscreen and DEET at the same time, so if you need insect repellent while using this sunscreen, look for a DEET free product (many are available on this site).
Handy and Durable container but hard to get the last drop out. When snorkeling, needs to be reapplied often or sun will get you as the ocean water disperses the Sun block. I learned the hard way while on vacation in the Philippines (near Equator) after a couple of hours of snorkeling + boat ride both directions. Other than that I kept putting it on often & all is great!
Apply generously to all exposed, cool dry skin 20 minutes before sun exposure.
Spread outward until whiteness is barely visible.
A missed spot may cause sunburn.
Reapply after prolonged swimming, towel drying excessive perspiration or for extra protection.
