We have owned both kinds of potty rings and have exclusively switched to the Baby Bjorn potty rings in all of our kid bathrooms. Here are its advantages: fits securely on all seats, has a handy loop to take on and off of the toilet, and is easy to clean. To elaborate, we originally bought the cheap seats that everyone else seems to have. They worked okay except for two things: one, guests had to touch the potty ring to pull it off of the potty. Secondly, the construction of those cheap seats makes them both impossible and disgusting to clean. There are many nooks and crannies in those seats plus the bolts. Want to clean encrusted poo out of a phillips head screw? No? Enter Baby Bjorn potty seat. We love it's nice loop so you can pull it off the potty with one (still clean!) finger. We love the fact that it is easy to clean -all one piece and for whatever reason, doesn't get NEARLY as dirty as the other cheaper seats. We are fans of many of the baby bjorn products, and this is one of our most favorite! Also recommend the bibs and the tiny potties (keep one in your car at all times!!!!). All of the Baby Bjorn products we have used are well designed, durable, easy to clean[...] VS Most Liked Negative Review Not So Great For Boys Bought this because of the reviews. It fits my somewhat oblong toilet well... it doesn't move around. And it did get my son to try going on the big potty. When he pees it somehow leaks out the front between the toilet seat and bowl. It also leaks onto the toilet seat itself. So its not like you can take it off and just use the regular potty without some clean up first. Also there are leftover droplets of urine on the under side of the trainer seat so if you did chose to hang it between uses you'd have a mess unless you cleaned that everytime as well. The splash guard should prevent this but it doesn't. This seat would probably work very well for girls but I don't recommend it for boys. Cons Best Uses Comments about BABYBJORN Toilet Trainer, 1 ea: The other seats I have used slide around on the toilet and my son did not feel comfortable on them. This one adjusts to provide a perfect fit, even on our enlongated toilet, and the design of it is very comfortable for him to sit. Comments about BABYBJORN Toilet Trainer, 1 ea: BABYBJORN trainer seat is a must have for last-stage potty training. My near-3 year old (~35 inches) can safely use it by himself and he insists "Me do it!":) We did teach him how to tighten the seat on the toilet and to check whether it's stable. He needs a step stool that is taller than BABYBJÖRN Safe Step and holds on a safety rail that we mounted on the side of the toilet. It's well designed and easy to clean. Highly recommended! Comments about BABYBJORN Toilet Trainer, 1 ea: We had the Bjorn stand-alone potty, so I figured this seat would be just as great. It is! The adjustable dial really does make it fit any toilet, and it makes a nice, tight fit - no sliding around. The guard in the front keeps my 2-year-old son from missing the toilet, and the hole is just the right size for his little tush. It stays pretty clean, and is easy to wipe down when necessary. The handle at the back is perfect for lifting and hanging. We have used several other potty seats, and this one is by far the best. Comments about BABYBJORN Toilet Trainer, 1 ea: I love that this adjusts to your seat, no matter what size it is. The rubber grip keeps it firmly in place, and my son doesn't feel shaky on it all. I skipped the floor style of potty chair and went straight to this, and my son does great on it, even before he was two. The splash guard is also good on this one, not too in the way but deflects just fine as long he has things pointing in the right direction. Cleans easily too, wipe it quickly or just rinse the whole thing if necessary. Comments about BABYBJORN Toilet Trainer, 1 ea: This fits our oblong toilet seat perfectly, it fits snugly, and it is easy to use for our 3-year-old. It is easier to keep clean than the spongy, smaller, round styles that usually come with a character on them. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about BABYBJORN Toilet Trainer, 1 ea: I bought one of these for my Grandson when he was born. He has used it at his house and I've always had a different one at my house. The one I had was horrible. So, I bought another one of these and he will use it. It is much more comfortable then the cheaper ones you can purchase. It is well worth the money. Comments about BABYBJORN Toilet Trainer, 1 ea: I love this seat. I've got one in the downstairs bathroom, and one in the upstairs bathroom, and now I'm going to order one for taking out and about (stores, restauarants, etc). The absolutely best thing about this seat is that it is adjustable. We got another seat, cheap cheap at the local discount store, and it just slides all over the place - this seat however can be "locked" into place and no sliding! The one real downside is that there are no handles for my daughter to hold on to. Cons Best Uses
Comments about BABYBJORN Toilet Trainer, 1 ea: This trainer works well because it fits snugly on the toilet. Other toilet trainers can move around, which makes the little ones (and me) a bit uneasy. It is adjustable so it should fit any toilet seat (somewhat portable). It is contoured to fit the child's bottom, so the child shouldn't be able to slide around on it. I like this product so much, I've bought four of them, and will probably buy a few more as gifts. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful?
