Gave me a light but VERY clear line-- my very first "BFP!" As that was my last test on hand (I had used up the other two that came in the package on previous days), I ran out to the store to splurge on some "gold standard" First Response Early Result tests. Although the FRER also gave me a line, to be quite honest, it was neither as dark nor as clear as the BabyConfirm. A great test for someone who doesn't want to spend a ton of money, doesn't have access to dollar tests and doesn't feel comfortable with "Internet cheapie" strips without plastic housings, etc.

I've used First Response for many years, including many with infertility, so I've been through many pregnancy tests. I switched to BabyConfirm recently after deciding we could save money on this. The previous two reviews were very positive. I can now agree that this is a VERY sensitive test and a great way to save money over First Response. I tested positive using BabyConfirm when my hcg was only 22 later that day-- so I know it detects pregnancy very early (looks like I ovulated late, but thought that I was overdue for a new cycle). I was so shocked to see a positive -- and it was quite a faint line -- that I tested again using my second urine of the day, and it was positive again. I highly recommend this product.

This test detected a positive pregnancy at 4dp5dt (IVF) or 9 days past ovulation. It came up positive one and a half days before First Response. The only draw back I can see is it may very well detect a chemical pregnancy if that were to be the case, but overall, it does exactly what you want it to. It detects the smallest amounts of HCG in your urine. (I am not a doctor but I have worked with pregnant women and women dealing with infertility for more than 15 years)
