Comments about BaByliss PRO Nano Titanium Mini Straightener, 1/2", 1 ea:
I was looking for a starter iron for my preteen daughter. Since I had tried other straighteners before will less than stellar results I was willing to pay a little more for a quality tool. After seaching the web and talking to my stylist, I found the most reccomended brand is babyliss. My stylist promoted this over the chi which she had been using for years but recently switched to this brand and loved it. I thought the travel size might be a nice size to practice with. The price was certainly competitive. Fact is, it is way too small to do anything but bangs very effectively. My daughter has fine, pretty straight hair already and we saw no real results with this iron after using for 10-15 minutes. You would have to separate hair into REALLY small sections to get the result you are likely hoping for. I could see it good for a travel iron or in purse for quick touch ups. Otherwise, spend a few extra buck and get one with bigger plates. My daughter had friends over recently who used a Conair Infiniti Pro and it looked awesome. Price is about the same for a larger plate that also heats over 400 degrees.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
