Comments about Badger Broad Spectrum Sport Sunscreen, SPF 35, Unscented, 2.9 oz:
This brand is the only sunscreen my skin tolerates. I get bad contact dermatitis rashes any time I use other sunscreens and I have good results (no stinging rashes!) from Badger, so I have tried pretty much all their sunscreens. This one is similar to the others but maybe a bit heavier and greasier, although they are all pretty heavy and greasy.
For those of you who like the idea of Badger's sunscreens but hate the scent of the original and even the original unscented, this one smells faintly like chocolate chips. I'm not sure why, but I'm not the only one who noticed it so I'm sure it isn't my imagination. ;-)
As with most titanium dioxide products, this is most effective if you DON'T try to rub it in completely. The good part of this is that it's easy to tell if you've missed a spot, and it is also really effective. The bad part is that you'll have that silvery ghostly sheen for hours until it does start to rub off, at which time you need to refresh it.
This stuff (the water-resistant "sport" version) has some serious staying power and took some effort to wash off completely later.
My only problem came on a day when it got rubbed off on my shoulders over time during the day and I forgot to refresh it. There were clear lines between the places where it had rubbed off and the places where it had stayed.
My nieces liked the chocolate chip smell but complained about the stickiness.
I would rather have a greasy product that protects me and doesn't cause a rash than a non-greasy one that either doesn't work or causes worse problems than it solves, so I don't mind, but I really wish they could make a product that was as good without the stickiness. :-)

Yes, it does give a whitish cast but that's what you have to sacrifice for superior protection without chemicals. I wore it all day, multiple days at Disney World and didn't get any sun. It is thick and greasy but worth it if you want total protection.
For full protection, apply liberally (2mg/cm2 of skin) to all exposed skin, then rub in to reduce whitening effect. Reapply: After 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying, at least every 2 hours. Sun protection measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging, to decrease this risk regularly use a sunscreen with broad spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: Limit time in the sun, especially from 10am-2pm.
