This is the ONLY sunscreen my kids will use now. I was using Jason Naturals children's sunscreen (in the yellow bottle) but it is SO thick and hard to spread, and so opaque-white my kids hated it. And when you are putting sunscreen on a squirming 2 year old, you don't have time to rub-rub-rub it in. The Badger sunscreen is thick, yes, but it does rub in fairly quickly (helps if you warm it in your hand first to melt it). Now if I try to put non-natural sunscreens on the kids, they complain about the "yucky" sunscreen. Amazing that even such young children can tell what's good and natural and what are chemicals. Anyway, they (and I) love the fragrance and the creamy feel of it. We have very fair skin, so the whitening is no big deal for us. We live in a very sunny climate, so we have to be coated with sunscreen every day. I feel good using this on myself and my kids, all over, every day, knowing that there are no potentially harmful chemicals in it. If you are looking for a thin-consistency, matte, undetectable sunscreen you will be disappointed with this. I was looking for a completely-natural, safe, pleasant to use sunscreen, and I have been very happy with this. This sunscreen has a very good safety rating on Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep Report. VS Most Liked Negative Review Does work, but definitely not perfect We were looking for a non-chemical sunscreen, and also one that was rated highly by the Environmental Working Group (EWG), including their rating for sunscreen stability. This product DID fit that bill. This product is good, but like the other reveiwers have said, it stayed pretty white on my entire body and streaked everywhere. Just couldn't rub it in completely. And now, can't get it out of my bathing suit. I'll use it on my 4-year-old, but will continue to use Soleo, also rated very highly by EWG. Best Uses Comments about Badger SPF 30 Sunscreen For Face & Body, 2.9 oz: as far as organic, all natural sunscreens come, this one is one of the better ones. As a brand, Badger comes very highly recommended. It is a little heavy and smells "natural".... but with all the talk about how horrible most sunscreens are (especially the sprays) it's very much worth using. Working in a child care center, we now have to make parents aware of the dangers of using most sunscreens. Those chemicals that make it smell nice, non-greasy or rub in well are actually harming us. Badger is a good choice. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Yes / No - You may also flag this review 6/15/2011 medicinal Pros

Comments about Badger SPF 30 Sunscreen For Face & Body, 2.9 oz: This is a heavy white sunblock that has a strong lavender smell. I does not work under makeup, and stays greasy for quite a long time, Repells water. The combonation of White and greasyness means it is great for water activities, not for every day. Comments about Badger SPF 30 Sunscreen For Face & Body, 2.9 oz: I got this product because it was rated at the top of the Environmental Working Group's safe cosmetics. I'm a gardener and sweat a lot. Eventhough I don't like the sticky thickness and white residue that's hard to rub in. I accept them as a trade off for a sunscreen that stay's on, works, and doesn't sting my eyes when the sweat rolls down. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Don't care for the smell either. Back to searching for an acceptable product- anyone have a suggestion? Best Uses Comments about Badger SPF 30 Sunscreen For Face & Body, 2.9 oz: I wanted to love this - the ingredients are all natural, and it's got zinc oxide, which apparently offers better UVB protection than the titanium dioxide found in most natural sunblocks . But it's really greasy (the carrier is olive oil, after all) and really bluish white. If I rub it in enough to blend it in, I burn - so obviously you need it to be semiopaque for it to work. It also settles into the creases at elbows, the backs of the knees, the corners of the mouth. If I had a kid, I'd be slathering it with the stuff, but for me, I'll keep searching. Comments about Badger SPF 30 Sunscreen For Face & Body, 2.9 oz: I bought this sunscreen to use on my kids when the EWG ratings came out. One of my daughters refuses to let me put it on her because she doesn't like the smell. I don't mind the smell, but I can see where she is coming from. My other daughter loves it and she has pretty bad eczema. I think this sunscreen has actually helped her skin. We live in AZ so we are using lots of sunscreen and I believe the natural oils from the sunscreen on her skin every day has made the eczema improve (definitely not worsen as it has with other sunscreens). My biggest complaint is that my hands feel super greasy after applying it on her. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about Badger SPF 30 Sunscreen For Face & Body, 2.9 oz: We used to use California Baby sunscreen but decided to try this one based on its safety rating on EWG's Sunscreen Safety Guide. It was a big disappointment. The kids got sunburned while swimming. It was so greasy that even after showering and soaping up multiple times, you could still see it in the tiny cracks in our skin. YUCK! Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Best Uses Comments about Badger SPF 30 Sunscreen For Face & Body, 2.9 oz: I bought the unscented version of this product for my kids and I smelled this version and thought the scent was strong. Well it doesnt matter unscented or this version, both smell STRONG. Very earthy. it is also very greasy and left grease stains on my shirts. Very disappointed Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend (1 of 2 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful?
