as far as organic, all natural sunscreens come, this one is one of the better ones. As a brand, Badger comes very highly recommended. It is a little heavy and smells "natural".... but with all the talk about how horrible most sunscreens are (especially the sprays) it's very much worth using. Working in a child care center, we now have to make parents aware of the dangers of using most sunscreens. Those chemicals that make it smell nice, non-greasy or rub in well are actually harming us. Badger is a good choice.

This is a heavy white sunblock that has a strong lavender smell. I does not work under makeup, and stays greasy for quite a long time, Repells water. The combonation of White and greasyness means it is great for water activities, not for every day.

I got this product because it was rated at the top of the Environmental Working Group's safe cosmetics. I'm a gardener and sweat a lot. Eventhough I don't like the sticky thickness and white residue that's hard to rub in. I accept them as a trade off for a sunscreen that stay's on, works, and doesn't sting my eyes when the sweat rolls down.

Maybe I received a 'bad' tube, but this stuff is so thick and sticky that it is unusable. Don't care for the smell either. Back to searching for an acceptable product- anyone have a suggestion?

I wanted to love this - the ingredients are all natural, and it's got zinc oxide, which apparently offers better UVB protection than the titanium dioxide found in most natural sunblocks . But it's really greasy (the carrier is olive oil, after all) and really bluish white. If I rub it in enough to blend it in, I burn - so obviously you need it to be semiopaque for it to work. It also settles into the creases at elbows, the backs of the knees, the corners of the mouth. If I had a kid, I'd be slathering it with the stuff, but for me, I'll keep searching.

I bought this sunscreen to use on my kids when the EWG ratings came out. One of my daughters refuses to let me put it on her because she doesn't like the smell. I don't mind the smell, but I can see where she is coming from. My other daughter loves it and she has pretty bad eczema. I think this sunscreen has actually helped her skin. We live in AZ so we are using lots of sunscreen and I believe the natural oils from the sunscreen on her skin every day has made the eczema improve (definitely not worsen as it has with other sunscreens). My biggest complaint is that my hands feel super greasy after applying it on her.

We used to use California Baby sunscreen but decided to try this one based on its safety rating on EWG's Sunscreen Safety Guide. It was a big disappointment. The kids got sunburned while swimming. It was so greasy that even after showering and soaping up multiple times, you could still see it in the tiny cracks in our skin. YUCK!

I bought the unscented version of this product for my kids and I smelled this version and thought the scent was strong. Well it doesnt matter unscented or this version, both smell STRONG. Very earthy. it is also very greasy and left grease stains on my shirts. Very disappointed
