Yes- this does go on a little more white than a regular lip balm- HOWEVER, for those who seem to complain about this....this is the price you pay for a non-nano, maximun protection sunscreen. It's the safest out there. So I guess it's just weighing the options...do you want it as healthy as it comes...meaning it's both safe health wise AND the best sun protection? I know I do. No, I'm not going to wear this out to dinner with my friends. But when I'm out on the water in the sun all day- YES I want the BEST protection I can get. Same goes for the sunscreens that everyone complains are too white. The clearer your sunscreen is, probably means there are nano ingredients (which may or may not be safe). However, in real life use it really was just too white. As I only use non-chemical sunscreens I am pretty used to products having a white cast and having to be rubbed in well. However, on your lips this product just didn't work out. It left a weird white cast even with a thin application and worst of all the white kind of gathered in any areas that had even minor chapping, so it looked weird and I didn't feel comfortable using it in public! I ended up buying the Lipcotz SPF 45 chapstick which is non-chemical and has a slight color to it so it does not go on white. It was pricey but I highly recommend that instead! Best Uses Comments about Badger Lip Balm Stick, SPF 15, Unscented, .15 oz: I bought this because I really like the unscented Badger lip balm and I figured adding sunscreen can't hurt. Boy, was I wrong! The balm goes on thick and white, it's disgusting. It's like putting pure sunscreen directly on my mouth. I'm sticking with the regular version!

Cons Best Uses Comments about Badger Lip Balm Stick, SPF 15, Unscented, .15 oz: Well I hate my highly pigmented lips, so I love the fact that this lip balm gives me an almost nude lip appearance! No need for lipstick or lipgloss when I use this, because my lips are moisturized, protected from the sun, and I love the color this makes them! This really is fantastic for moisturizing my lips too, because mine are always very dry and peeling, and most lip balms/chapsticks don't help that much. But this one does!!! I am going to buy several back up tubes!

Comments about Badger Lip Balm Stick, SPF 15, Unscented, .15 oz: I recently developed a severe allergy to "chemical-based" sunscreens (as opposed to "physical/mineral-based" sunscreens). This means that I can only use sunscreens whose active ingredients are only titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide. This fits the bill! Plus, it WORKS for my year-round VERY dry lips that sting and crack. Pros

Comments about Badger Lip Balm Stick, SPF 15, Unscented, .15 oz: The balm claims to have super secret chemical powers that magically turn the physical sunblock from white to clear. It does not. This balm is fine if you don't mind having white lips, but it's seriously weird-looking. This product is going into the trash for me. Pros

Comments about Badger Lip Balm Stick, SPF 15, Unscented, .15 oz: This is my back-up lip protector. I tend to use this more in the fall as opposed to summer time. The sun is intense here in AZ. Pros Cons

Comments about Badger Lip Balm Stick, SPF 15, Unscented, .15 oz: I was very dissapointed with this product. I could have handled the bad smell and taste to be able to have a totally natural product if it didn't have the white pasty look. Pros
Cons
Best Uses Comments about Badger Lip Balm Stick, SPF 15, Unscented, .15 oz: It's great to not have nasty chemicals in your SPF lip balm, but this misses the mark. It goes on so white that it is embarrassing to wear. I bet I'd use it a lot if I were a life guard. For now I'll stick with the chemicals. Pros

Comments about Badger Lip Balm Stick, SPF 15, Unscented, .15 oz: As others have already said, it goes on white. We only use this at the beach so it doesn't matter. I wouldn't use it as my everyday lip protection. It works just fine. I think there are probably better choices out there for our use. I don't care for the smell. Pros

Comments about Badger Lip Balm Stick, SPF 15, Unscented, .15 oz: It smells great and feels great on your lips! The only thing is that it leaves a white coating on your lips which makes your teeth look dark. That's okay because u can go over it with your favorite lipstick.
