It is just as good as Dr. Hauschka’s and Decleor only much less expensive. It is very smooth and immediately soothes and softens my lips unlike some balms that are too grainy and thick (Avalon Organics Vitamin C, Whole_Foods Mint, Burt’s Bees). I also use lip balm under the lipstick/gloss to prevent dryness and Badger is perfect for this application since it absorbs quickly without leaving any residue. I am going to order some more to put in pockets and purses so that I am never without it. It does have a distinct lavender scent and I love it. There is a true lavender scent to this, with a slightly acrid finish. It's moderately waxy-feeling - good but not the best - for me that was one that seems to be off the market - I certainly can't find it - called Lip Schtick. That stuff was amazing - unbelievably smooth, pleasant tasting, just fabulous. Last winter I had read that lip balms containing camphor actually dried lips more. Well the famous brand I had used for about 20 some odd years, which I would use from fall to spring contained camphor. I read the ingredients and ordered both Burt's Bees and Badger. The Burt's was fine although I thought a little thick; my former brand went on thin and smooth. I tried the Badger and loved it. The consistency is light and moisturizing and the lavender orange is quite pleasant, and I normally avoid 'flavors.' Plus, the lack of camphor really has helped; my lips have not been chapped this long and ever so cold winter, hurray! This product is highly recommended and worth the price. Comments about Badger Natural Lip Care Balm, Lavender and Orange, .15 oz: I love this balm! It's so moisturizing; super smooth. The scent is not unpleasant but different than I've been used to. It's more of a natural herby scent. The balm leaves a soft sheen to my lips and I don't have to apply much at a time. I don't have to apply it really often either. It's also a good size; I twisted it up really far. So all that being said I think it should last quite a while. All the ingredients are safe for humans too. The other big plus is that it's not harmful to Mother Earth because the ingredients are all natural so making it won't be cause anymore damage.  Comments about Badger Natural Lip Care Balm, Lavender and Orange, .15 oz: I love Badger Balm products, especially the Bali Balm. When I apply it I get complements on the fragrance. I used to carry around the big tin with me everywhere and use it for my lips, hands & cuticles, elbows, and other dry spots. (Sometimes for dry-winter staticky hair too!) I occasionally use it when tissues leave my nose irritated and red during winter. I also use it on my son's dry skin & eczema; it really clears up the redness overnight. Once I had a reaction to an 'anti-aging' under eye cream, and the only thing that took down the pain and redness was my Badger balm. I love these little sticks- they come in a 'flavor' that is close to the Bali balm, but in a little lip-balm size that I can stash everywhere. But I had to constantly reapply since it does not stay on the lips long, and my lips just seemed to become more chapped the more I used it. I have given it several fair chances, and it just didn't work for me at all. Maybe the fragrance free one would be better??
