Horrible!

Comments about Badger SPF 30 Baby Sunscreen Cream - 2.9oz, 2.9 fl oz:

I don't know how this sunscreen gets such good reviews. I chose it because my son has sensitive skin and this rated highly for those with eczema. It didn't aggrivate his skin. But it was very greasy and thick. It got all over our clothes, which we had to wash more than once to get the sunscreen completely out. It was also hard to get off at the end of the day. Washcloth and water didn't do a great job, so that means soapy bath every night (which will aggrivate his skin). To top it off, I didn't find it to be very effective. While my son didn't get sunburned, he still got a tan even while wearing this sunscreen and staying in the shade as much as possible. There are better products out there!

Comments about Badger SPF 30 Baby Sunscreen Cream - 2.9oz, 2.9 fl oz:

i just tried it for the first time today, and it smells pretty strongly of chamomile. the picture shows a teeny-tiny "chamomile and calendula" on the package, and nothing is noted in the product description. if i had known it would have such a strong scent i would not have chosen it.

i chose this particular badger sunscreen, b/c it says, "baby." i assumed it would be for the most sensitive skins. i just compared the ingredients to the "sports" version, and it looks like the "sports" version has less ingredients, no fragrance and a higher % of zinc oxide, which i assume to be more sun protection? i will be getting that one next time!

Comments about Badger SPF 30 Baby Sunscreen Cream - 2.9oz, 2.9 fl oz:

I was out of Aubrey, at a store & they recommended this. For the record I like Aubrey as it is very effective at blocking the sun. We never get burned when applying. Badger seems to work about the same & is a tad easier to apply & rub into your skin. I'm very sensitive to smells & neither one bothers me. They don't have the coconut smell of Hawaiin Tropic but they are natural and effective at keeping my skin safe, which is the reason I buy. I haven't noticed it staining my clothes. I think all block would to some effect. We use it every day in summer. In winter I use lighter stuff on their faces as we are not outside as much. I also use on my left side for when I'm driving as I've noticed sun spots.

My family is very light-skinned and need to use a sunscreen daily, especially, those that are in California. This product works and it is non-greasy, all of us love it!

Comments about Badger SPF 30 Baby Sunscreen Cream - 2.9oz, 2.9 fl oz:

Although this is a thick sunscreen it is fairly easy to apply and rub in. It uses natural ingredients that are not absorbed into the body and that also begin working immediately. The smell is neither good nor bad ...smells like fresh grass to me. It caused no rash or discomfort nd protected us very well at the beach

Comments about Badger SPF 30 Baby Sunscreen Cream - 2.9oz, 2.9 fl oz:

I'll be copying this review verbatim to several other sunscreens because I tried so many, and they all turned out the same--effective, but unsuitable for daily use due to a chalky white residue that would not fully rub in. Over a year ago, I decided I wanted to protect myself from cancer and wrinkles by incorporating sunscreen into my daily beauty routine. This product works and gets a great rating from the Environmental Working Group. However, I needed something I could use on a daily basis. This product is heavy and leaves a pasty, chalky white residue that stains your clothes with daily use. Also, because it takes so long to rub in (and you can never rub it in completely), I found myself increasingly skipping it, which totally defeated my skin cancer and wrinkle prevention purpose. I ultimately landed on EltaMD UV Lotion SPF 30+ Full Body Sunscreen for daily use on my upper body and EltaMD's UV Daily Sheer Moisturizing Facial Sunscreen for daily use on my face and neck. Because of the cost of those two products, I still keep around some of the cheaper, 1 and 2-rated chalky stuff for pool/beach days, outdoor concerts, or other times when I don't care so much about what I look like or need to apply it multiple times. But for daily use, Elta MD is the way to go. So yes, I would recommend this product, but only for heavy use days, and not daily use.

This stuff rates very safe, and it works. Children should not be slathered in chemical sunscreen for various reasons. This is one of the few natural sunscreens I will allow on my daughter.
