The day after, I applied it, wondering if it was the orange day, but it stayed natural and I went darker. The third day it starts getting orange, so I let pass a few days before another aplication. It smells good when you apply but after it sets it starts giving you the scent but not very strong. One bad thing it's that definitely it has to be put with gloves,since I washed my hands several times after aplication and they still stained. I did a heavier application the next day and liked the color. However, if I applied 2 days in a row, I had obvious streaks. So every other day worked better. I stopped using for a few days and there were definite streaks as it faded. No bad smell at all. I had no problem with knees and ankles being too dark, just my inability to apply evenly on my ankles. I love the look of the Neutrogena Fresh Foam, and it doesn't smell as bad as most, but it still had a bit of an odor that made me self-conscious. This Bain de Soleil lotion is great. It smells like coconuts when you put it on, and even though that smell fades away after a bit, it still does not produce a very strong "tanner" odor. Since the SPF is not high, I would not actually use this as sun protection, but I love it as a good everyday self-tanner that provides an even coverage. I had tried a previous Bain de Soleil self-tanner on drugstore.com, but it seems to be discontinued now and I can't find it anywhere! I'm deducting 1 star off of this rating only because the bottle does not really contain enough product. I started to run out after about 4 uses. Pros

It does not streak! I did not burn but with daily use, tanned golden brown (not orange) during a trip to Cabo San Lucas. I've been hooked ever since. Just make sure you wipe/wash your hands after applying as the lotion will stain the palms of your hands orange. Unfortunately once I discover a product I like, it is either discontinued or difficult to find in retail stores. I am thrilled to have found the product on Drugstore.com! Displaying reviews 111-120
