I read some reviews on another Balance Bar product and took the idea to eat this bar with a hot beverage. I had hot tea with it to satisfy my afternoon snack. It filled me up and gave me energy since it doesn't have the sugar. This bar is GREAT! I personally love the chewy texture instead of some of the dry crunchy bars. I just started eating these and I'm definitely going to bring them on my cycling rides now.

I always carry one or two around for that pick me up if I have not eaten or just to give me that boost later in the day

I have recently started a program with running, weight lifting, bag training, and flexibility/balance exercises. I eat these bars whenever I am hungry.......between, after, or if i've missed a meal. The bars are processed so they go down easily. I would say the consistency of the bars is not light or heavy but in the mid-range of nutrition bars. They are a little chewy. I love them.

I've tried most of the protein-type bars on the market, and this one is by far the tastiest. It's also got a great chewiness that is very satisfying.

I cycle a lot and like them as a snack during riding breaks on long hauls. I also eat them as breakfast-on-the-go many mornings. Overall, great product.

The bars have an OK taste and they ward off my hunger. But both times I've ordered from this site they have been stale and hard to chew. I bought some at a retail store and they were better.

I've had better tasting peanut butter/chocolate bars. But I use these for hiking as they're rated to be pretty good for that kind of thing.

It seems all of the "Gold" flavors share the same qualities that make the bar disgusting for me. The texture is too sticky and gooey for my tastes. It also has a suspicious, distinctly synthetic flavor--which in this case, is neither peanutty or buttery.
