Balmex is not just for young children. It is the only product that helps me with (excuse me) jock rash. Other zinc oxide creams aren't as thick and rub off easily. It is easy to clean up -- much easier than others I've tried. It may not be as smooth as Desenex on infants -- but as long as you don't let the rash go too far -- it's the best.

I bought tons of cream on this site and this was the best by far. Effective for my daughter's moderate rash, smells good, and cleans easily. I will only by this cream in the future. I use it daily now to prevent the rash from returning.

If I were the swearing type, I'd swear by this thing! Balmex, in our experience as first time parents of a little baby with a fairly sensitive bottom, has always protected & prevented diaper rash. Any redness was attacked within 1 diaper change, as the product claims to do. We've been extremely happy with Balmex and use it exclusively after trying some other creams (A&D, Aquaphor, etc)... some much more expensive.

I've used this product everyday for two years in taking care of an elderly, bedbound parent. I like the thick consistency and the fact it has no scent. The generous slathering on of this product played a significant part in avoiding bedsores and breaks in the skin.

This cream is awesome! No more crying baby. After one use the skin rash redness is less and is healing. Would not be with out Balmex cream. It keeps my grandson all smiles. It even worked for me on a rash I developed from taking antibiotics. I have tried other products but this one works the best!

Though its main use is to treat diaper rash quickly and effectively in infants, we also have "loaned" it to neighborhood teens for small skin breakouts and to adults for minor burns (example: accidentally touching a hot pan). Balmex is a versatile and effective product!!

Smear a little Balmex on the inside of every diaper you put on your baby and you'll have a happy baby. With all 3 of my kids, we've never had a day of diaper rash. After my first baby was born, the nurse in the hospital showed me how to apply balmex inside the diaper (approx. where the baby's bottom will rest) instead of on the baby (spread with something other than your hand - a popsicle stick, a plastic spoon - to keep your hands clean and keep germs off your baby's diaper area). Then simply put the diaper on. The balmex will provide a protective layer around the baby's bottom and keep diaper rash away. My youngest is 2 and I still put a dollup of balmex in every diaper before changing. Great stuff!
