Of all the lotions I have sitting in my cabinet right now (and that's a LOT!), I think I have finally decided to just stick with this one. Sure I have plenty that make me smell like cinnamon rolls and rainbows, or feel really soft for a few minutes, but this is the only one I have tried so far that actually makes my skin soft...and keeps it that way all day. In the end, that's why I am using lotion. In MN, we're in AC all day in the summer and have long dry winters. I think I got it for sunburns originally and it worked well for that, too. It worked so well on my skin in general that I just kept using it every day.I think it smells good and not too heavy on perfume, but that's such a personal opinion...you really have to decide that for yourself. I do have really sensitive skin, so I have to stay away from heavily-perfumed products. I can't shop at the smelly shops like [...] (though I do sometimes anyway). It's hard for me to find something that doesn't make my skin react AND works like it's supposed to, and this is it.I still buy other lotions - I can't help myself! Also very sticky and goopy, and the pump on the bottle didn't work, so overall I am not pleased. Too bad because I loved the Banana Boat Vitaskin line. The lotion is very smooth, not greasy, and a surprising bonus is that it tighten the skin slightly after it dries, so i use it all over my face as well after a shower and before going to bed. I used to stock up in the summer so I would have enough to get thru the winter. Other lotions just don't feel as good and they don't moisturize all day. Just because it's called after-sun lotion, doesn't mean you can't use it anytime. It doesn't smell like suntan lotion so don't be afraid to use anytime.
