I have used Banana Boat Spray sunscreen #4 & #8 factor, for over 20 years

I have used Banana Boat Sunscreen for over 20 years, and, it has worked well for me. We travel to the tropics twice a year and this product has never failed me. I use Banana Boat 30 factor on areas of my body that seem to want to burn (shoulders, nose, forehead and lower legs)and, this works well for those areas. Because it is an oil, it is greasy, but, my skin after tanning is very soft. This is not meant to be a free pass to fry yourself in the sun. I tan easily,but, still am extremely cautious while laying in the sun.

Best when put on before going outside and let sit. Fades quickly but allows a even tan, and makes you look dark while wearing it.

This is one of the only SPF 8 oils that you can buy these days! I use Banana Boats oils in 4, 8 and 15 throughout the summer and they are my fave! They give great color as well as great protection!

I use this as a convenient after-shower body moisturizer. I would probably never use it if I'm going to be in the sun as it does not contain enogh SPF for me.

There's no real scent which is disappointing but it works well to hydrate and make skin skine and glisten. The spray pump is very handy and can also be used on the feet to soften callouses (be sure to wear socks after applying to be safe and stay clean).

This stuff was really, really disappointing. I am naturally medium-dark/olive-skinned, with my arms pretty dark from frequent sun exposure but my thighs quite pale from lack thereof. I thought this stuff would help even out the tan lines, but I didn't want to get blotchy so I applied it everywhere with a bit more around the paler areas. It spreads easily enough and has a very nice scent, but rubs off on everything you touch (that of course includes the surface you're perched on), so frequent re-application is necessary. I've used it twice so far on very sunny days for hours at a time and gotten no results; my skin is all the same color. My sister stayed out a bit longer and the areas on her arm that were already dark simply turned grey and blotchy, while her paler parts stayed the same color. All in all, it's not worth the money or effort to try tanning with this thing. You'd get better results and stay safe from the sun with a sunless tanner. I didn't burn, but I did waste time.

I spent every day for 5 days on the beach... within 2 days, I had a great tan without burn! This super moisturizing potion is fantastic and I recommend it to medium-skin complexioned individuals. My boyfriend is of Irish descent and it didn't work too well on him... but for me, it worked wonders, and my skin never dried out! I re-applied this every hour (the spray bottle makes it soo easy!) or after being in the water. I have never had such great color before without burn!
