I decided to venture out and try other tanners once I found out that Bare Escentuals contained BHT - very very bad. So I figured I'd try a really cheap one, because what can it hurt? I can not stress enough, this tanner is incredible. I am literally blown away at how great it is!! It does take a few applications for a tan to get really dark, but you will see a decent amount of color after the first application. I am so used to using other tanners and have always felt like fading quickly, and an uneven fade are just how it goes. But THIS IS NOT THE CASE! Yes it still fades eventually and some spots more than others, but nothing like what I've experienced with other brands. It's so much more of a blended fade that I found myself able to just apply more tanner to even it out. Usually after a few days I would have to do a deep scrub to remove the tan and start over. I will continue to buy this tanner because it is sooo affordable, and I couldn't be happier with the results!

Bought this after a lot of research. Have to admit, I'm a completely newbie to tanning lotions, I've only used a gradual/natural tanners once before. Even so, the product was extremely easy to use. Tip: blend, blend, blend quickly! I've been using it for about a month now and it works swell. Only problem I ever had was a couple unnatural swirls near my wrists, but that happened when I was washing my hands afterwards (the water dripped down my arm), so be careful with that, and make sure to blend out onto spots like hands, knees, ankles and feet, armpits, elbows. Also, make sure to get your entire face and ears + neck + back of neck. Just because you can't see it doens't mean it isn't there. Only complaint about the product would be that I need to do one or two more applications than the directions on the bottle. But maybe that's cause I'm really pale (NC-25). Extremely natural looking though! I love it!

I tried the Coppertone Gradual Tanner first and it didn't work at all. Tried this one next and noticed a difference after just one application. No streaks, no mess, just nice sun kissed color. Fragrance isn't bad. Coppertone's fragrance is awful. Banana Boat works well and price is right.

In the black community I'm considered yellow complected.(dark but not very brown) I tend to be kinda pale in the winter & wanted to try this out so I would look good for the photo shoot. Exfoliated with the ST IVES scrub b4 and then applied the lotion evenly on face. Smelled good at first but then after about an hour it changed to this nasty burnt cocunut smell. Waited as long as I could and then washed it off. Took a few washes b4 I got rid of the smell. But my face was noticably darker. Used it again the next day & got yet another shade darker! Very natural looking tan. Aside from the smell, I LOVE IT!!!

i quit the tanning bed and this was my first time trying self tanner. it was super easy to use and looks fantastic! exfoliate and moisturize first, and it comes out much better looking. i use it on my face also and it doesn't break me out at all(i have oily acne prone sensitive skin). this will be a regular product in my skin regimen!

I'm naturally very pale and the first time I used this product I did notice it made me look a bit orange. I kept on using it though and it doesn't look orange anymore. The color looks much more natural after the first few uses. So if you've used this products once or twice and you feel that you look orange-ish, I would reccomend trying it a few more times because once you get darker it turns into a nice natural color, well for me anyway. :) It also doesn't streak as long as you make sure you keep your fingers together when applying it. It can look a little uneven so be careful, but it's not really that big of a deal. Just apply a little more to the places you feel aren't as tan as other parts and you're fine.
