I began taking this product to help with chronic constipation. I think it has helped a little with that problem, but was pleasantly surprised to find that pain in my hip virtually disappeared! I had no idea that it could help with that.

I was told by my doctor to take Flax Oil daily for my chronic health condition; a bladder condition called Interstitial Cystitis which also causes chronic constipation. This product was recommended to me by my brother who is a supplement buyer for a health food store in Vermont. It is excellent. I take 4-6 per day and it works better than any laxative or stool softener and is safe for long term, daily use. I have been using flax oil for 2 years and this product is the best I've tried. I keep it refrigerated as is recommended.

Flax Oil is the best alternative for fish oil, which is not sustainable as is flax oil. I tried several brands before I found Barlean's, and I have found it to be the most effective.

I was advised to take this by a dermatologist for mystery acne (at 49 years old!). When I stop taking it my skin breaks out like crazy. I think it helps with wrinkles and acne so it's a double blessing! I take three at bedtime.
