I oredered this from Drugstore.com after seeing the great reviews. I'm always looking for a gentle, yet effective facial wash. I have rosacea so have to be careful about what I use. This stuff is the best. I use it daily in the shower to wash my makeup off. As an extra bonus, it smells wonderful.....Love this!

I've used this for years, because it easily takes off all my makeup, even layers of mascara, with no irritation. Now my skin is much drier, so I just use it at night. My teenagers love it too. Smells great, and a little goes a long way.

I was sadden to hear that while there is no gluten listed in Basis facial cleansers,I was adivsed by the company that they do use outside facilities that may cross-contaminate their products. However, they DO NOT test on animals.

I have used it for many years on my sensitive skin. It really showed how gentle and thoroughly it cleaned when my granddaughter was 4 years old, she decorated her face with permanent marker, a playdate had it at their house. She was dropped off at my son's only a half an hour before her Mom was coming to pick her up and he went into a panic. I used the product on her face, it got all the marker off, and she said it felt great on her skin she loved how soft it was afterwards.

I was looking for a daily face wash for general makeup removal and for days when I'm not using an exfoliating scrub. I selected this Basis product because of all the rave reviews.

I am very pleased! It effectively removes dirt and makeup, yet is relatively gentle. A little bit goes a long way, too. The smell reminds me of a mild dish soap ... yes, that sounds strange, but I really find it pleasing! My face is left squeaky-clean and soft. It does have the tendency to dry out my skin a bit, so I always follow up with a moisturizer.

All in all, this is a very acceptable face wash!

I first bought this product because my son had acne as a young adult, he had been under care of a professional skin doctor and was acne clear however was told never to use soap on his face, that is when I first bought this product. He is 27 and a law enforcement officer and still uses this product and says his face feels clean and fresh, just a small amount on a wash cloth wash and rinse. That is how I began to use the product on my face and it does remove my makeup with no mess!

If you wear waterproof mascara and long lasting foundation like me, you know how difficult it can be to get it all off at the end of the day! I find this a great product to use when you get home and want to get everything off your face. It's gentle enough that I can use a more "heavy duty" or exfoliator/cleanser afterward or before bed to get a deep clean feeling. It's really gentle. BUT with that in mind--make sure you get all the "soap" residue off your face before opening your eyes because it really stings!

I've tried many other facial cleansers and keep coming back to this one. It's gentle enough to use every day and leaves skin clean and soft. Doesn't dry out your skin. I have oily/combination skin that also happens to be very sensitive. This one is the best by far. It's great a cleanser and toner built into one product.
