I would try this bar but am disappointed that it contains Sodium Tallowate as the first ingredient which is animal or beef fat. I believe this ingredient goes completely against the "natural" advertising of the bar. As a vegetarian, I would never put animal fat on my face, or any other place. Not a very pleasant ingredient. Dove soap also contains animal fat.

I have very sensitive and dry skin and I find this soap to be the best for the body, as well as facial use. It's creamy and feels good too. Your skin will never dry up using this soap, you'll know the differance right away.

Great unscented soap, cleans thoroughly, non-irritating. I use this on my sweaty areas and Aveeno fragrance free body wash on the rest of my body. Love this product.

I have used this soap faithfully for over 30 years. I started using it on my face when I still had acne. As my skin became more sensitive with age, I started using it as a bath soap too. Has no annoying scent and leaves the skin clean and fresh. I do find I need a body lotion to keep my skin soft, but I prefer NOT to have lotion in my soap, so basis fits the bill.

I get dry, itchy skin easily and the perfumed soaps really bother me. This is the best soap ever! It cleans you well and doesn't leave that perfumed smell or irritation on the skin. I love it.

I wash my face, neck and decolletage with this soap every day, and I absolutely love it! I have very sensitive skin, and I have tried a variety of facial cleansers, but this is the only one that cleans my face and does not leave it feeling like it's ready to crack if I smile. It does a good job at removing makeup when I wear it, but for added cleansing when I wear makeup, I first use a purified cleansing oil by DHC, then I wash with Basis soap. It is truly a very gentle, cleansing soap, and I hope it is never discontinued.

Use this soap in the shower and face at night. I remove my makeup with a cleansing milk, or almond oil on a cotton pad, then finish with this soap. I think it is better than Clinique or Clarins face soap. It doesn't lather as much but it is every bit as good in not drying the skin. Has no scent. Lasts fairly long.
