I can't understand where the 1 star comments are coming from...I have fair skin and somewhat sensitive skin and eyes, and I find the product remarkably effective and reasonably cost- effective. I have found that it is best to use it with a square cotton pad rather than a cotton ball, and to drip some of the liquid on the pad, place it on my closed eye for a few seconds to wet the area, then to gently wipe the whole eye area gently a couple of times and the liner, shadow, and mascara comes off easily. Perhaps some others are'nt using a pad or enough liquid! The fact that it doesn't sting and leaves my skin moist but not greasy is really great. One other thing...it is great for removing foundation/powder and refreshing my makeup without having to totally wash my face and start over for an evening out! Try it, you will like it! It does a fine job of removing makeup. I am still looking to see if there is a better one, but in the meantime, I am satisfied with this makeup remover. It is cruelty-free, which is of the utmost importance to me. The consistency is like water-nothing greasy or oily going on here. I have extremely sensitive eyes, and experience no redness or irritation from use whatsoever. The idea behind this remover is that it mimics natural tears. It is gentle and effective, taking off all eye make-up, including stubborn mascara. I absolutely love it and highlly recommend it. It is NOT for removing water-proof mascara, however, and for that I give it only 4 stars instead of 5. But otherwise it does thoroughly clean non-waterproof eye makeup very well. Also, I can reapply make-up immediately after I use it. I haven't used it with waterproof mascara yet so I am not sure how it works with that. I do notice a little bit of mascara left over after I use this but I find that a lot of make-up removers cannot completely remove mascara. You also have to be very careful getting it on a cotton ball--it's very drippy. Can't really say anything positive about it, I'm very disappointed.
