It burns immediately when you apply it, but not in a tingly you know its working kind of way. I'm not prissy and my skin is not very sensitive, but I'm sure I can get as good results from a mask that isn't so painful. I put it on my face for 15 mins, and when I rinsed it off my face felt so clean and glowy. I've only used it three times, but my skin got better already, especially, my red pimples are less red and smaller. It's not for people with sensitive skin cos it burns a bit, but for me it burns about 30 secs. Pros

Comments about Beauty Without Cruelty Facial Mask, Purifying, 2 oz: I bought this product back in April and use it twice a month. I use it after I wash my face with my Clarisonic (not necessary, but a light exfoliation beforehand seems to help more). I apply everywhere but around my mouth and eyes. After ten minutes (sometimes more like 15-20), I rinse really well with warm water and pat dry. I follow with my toner, 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cream, and a moisturizer about 20 minutes later. My pores are immediately cleaner, making them appear a little bigger, but that goes away in a day or so. I usually experience purging about three days later, but I know it's the dirt fully coming out. The purging only lasts a day for me (and I am very prone to breakouts).

I feel like this is one of the more effective masks I've used. I have slightly oily skin, I feel that this really does purify my skin and sucks out the gunk. If you're willing to spend the money, then this mask is for you! Personally, I will stick with this mask since I only use it when my skin starts to act up. The little pot lasts for a while, and I've gotten my money's worth!

One thing that bothered me though was after owning it only 6 months, the entire jar had dried out (WITH the top securely closed shut each time). That was discouraging. |
