This one is great: it smells good, it absorbs super quickly, and it doesn't leave any oily residue. The only downside is that if your skin is really dry and peeling, you may end up applying it frequently, since it does absorb so quickly. So therefore, this product may be better for mild dryness, not severe dryness. Great product. VS Most Liked Negative Review Decent, but Expensive & Heavy Scent This is an ok face cream, light & non-greasy, but it's not my top choice. I'm not a big fan of lavender (so I found out) and this was just too scented for my face. The smell did seem to lessen a little as the jar was opened more or I could have just been getting used to it. Overall I recommend getting Desert Essence Daily Essential face cream instead. It is half the price for twice the quantity of Beauty Without Cruelty & the smell is much more tolerable. BWC ingredients are rated a 3-MOD hazard on the cosmetic safety database & Desert Essence ingredients are rated a 1-LOW hazard. Both are about the same level of moisture, light for moderately dry skin. Need to apply a lot in winter. But for better ingredients & a better deal Desert Essence beats out Beauty Without Cruelty. Cons Best Uses Comments about Beauty Without Cruelty Oil-Free Facial Moisturizer, 2 oz: I bought it because it doesn't contain harmful chemicals and it's organic. But I have to say once I put it on my skin, it burned my skin and make my skin peel like crazy all over my face. How can I use it for moisturizer??? By the way it's not cheap and it's useless. The pro thing about this product is it absorbs quickly and smells great(some natural oils). I have oily skin and my face is not sensitive at all. But when I put just a small amount of it, it gave me severe burning allergic reaction and skin was red, but thankfully not for long. It never happened to me before, and I own some of the other products from BWC...just this one surprisingly had this effect. Will look for something else... Cons Best Uses Comments about Beauty Without Cruelty Oil-Free Facial Moisturizer, 2 oz: I have spent far more time than any human sanely should looking for a moisturizer that would hydrate combination skin without triggering acne. I have that unenviable sort of skin that is both desperately in need of moisture but exceedingly sensitive to break outs. I have been SO PLEASED with this product. It provides significant moisture without any heavy oils and has the added benefit of being free of common inferior ingredients like parabens, artificial fragrances, and pthlates. I used to spend twice as much for a Clinique product, but this product is purer, cheaper, and as effective. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this quality product remains on the market. Comments about Beauty Without Cruelty Oil-Free Facial Moisturizer, 2 oz: I had a hard time finding an oil-free moisturizer that didn't have toxic ingredients and didn't cost a fortune. The "clean" oil-free moisturizers I did try were expensive and left my skin feeling dry. BWC works perfectly, with minimal shine. Comments about Beauty Without Cruelty Oil-Free Facial Moisturizer, 2 oz: I really like the BWC hand/body lotion, and have purchased several bottles of it. When the BWC facial moisturizer came out, I was among the first to try it; however, I hadn't read the description carefully enough ... Most strong scents are very difficult for me -- especially this one. I couldn't wait to get it off my face ... I hope they come up with a non-scented version.
