I looked high and low for a clarifying shampoo that had a matching conditioner and also a daily conditioner to go along with it. I wanted all natural products this time....no more chemicals for me. Well, I finally found it! This shampoo really cleans my hair and doesn't make it dry. I have a curly perm (that's enough chemicals right there!) which tends to get dry on the ends, so I need all the conditioning I can get, but not so much to make my already oily scalp more oily. This shampoo along with it's conditioner and daily conditioner does the job just right! The smell starts out a little strong out of the bottle, but once you rinse it's not bad at all.

I use this every other day and it works fine. My big complaint with this is the smell. It is too strong for my tastes. It smells medicinal...feels like I'm massaging Bengay or Vicks into my hair. Oddly enough, the smell doesn't stay strong throughout the day. I expected the scent to last but it really fades as soon as my hair drys. After choking on fumes I'd at least like a little smell reward for my efforts. According to my boyfriend, the mint smell lingers somewhat, so that's something.

Comments about Beauty Without Cruelty Shampoo, Rosemary Mint Tea Tree, 16 fl oz:

Yes it stinks and dries my hair out, but I didn't hate it so much until I realize what real damage it's done to my hair! 4 weeks into using this shampoo, I found myself losing 3 times as much hair as usual. just threw it out last night, along with the stinking conditioner, 'cause I want to keep my hair. Worst shampoo ever.

I was looking for a great shampoo to fall in love with after I jumped on the organic beauty wagon and this shampoo is wonderful. Although it is pricey for the amount you get, the results will win you over as will the no guilty conscience. The smell is a change for those not used to herbal scents, if you are sensitive to them, try buying the smaller version to see if you're okay with it. Overall it's a fine product.

I was hoping for a better smell. There is not enough mint to cover the odd oily smell. It doesn't lather very well. Other than that, it works. If you are a minimalist, like me and you want to try to use products that are not too perfumed or tested on animals. This will work.

This product it's self smells great. It's nice to wash your hair with something that invigorates yo but don't expect the smell to last. The smell leaves my hair as I rise.
It also dries my hair out. i don't usually have this problem. I have very middle of the line hair as far as oily or dry. I was very surprised it leaves my hair feeling dry even after using the matching conditioner.

Overall I like it. It does clean my hair well, and it stays pure clean for 2 days straight, which is great for me.
Some people do complain that it doesn't lather well, but you can't forget, that professionals recommend to wash your hair 2 times. The first time yes - it might not lather good, but second time - more than enough. Also it's always better to use the Conditioner from the same series, as I do.
Combining those two - I get great results.

This shampoo is exactly what I need! I was using one before that was leaving a build up on my scalp, making my hair flat. I have thin hair and am Asian. This shampoo cleanses thoroughly, lathers well, which feels great after a hard work out at the gym. My hair feel lighter and has more volume. It's not weighed down anymore. I use the matching conditioner with this. It doesn't feel harsh and I don't notice the smell at all.

I have been trying natural shampoos with tea tree in order to try and find something that will help my chronically flaky scalp. Sadly this one didn't do it.
