Formulated for Your Skin's Unique Needs
Ethnic body lotions are formulated for women with darker skin tones who often suffer from dryness, particularly during the winter months. All ethnic lotions contain ingredients that help to restore moisture to the skin to help prevent symptoms of dehydration like itching, roughness and flaking.
Lightweight, Luxurious Lotions
There are three main types of ethnic lotions available in this product assortment: lotions, butters and creams. Lotions have a thin, silky consistency due to their low oil content. As a result, they are very easy to evenly apply to the face and body, and they feel light against the skin. Lotions
are ideal for hydrating skin that tends to be oily, as they don't add excessive amounts of oil to the skin.
Ample Hydration from Creams and ButtersCreams
have a much higher oil content than lotions, so they are thicker and capable of supplying more moisture to the skin. Ideal for those with normal to dry skin, creams take a little longer to work into the skin than lotions. Once they are thoroughly massaged against the skin, creams typically leave the skin feeling smooth and soft without any noticeable residue.
The oil content levels of body butters
are similar to those found in creams; however, butters typically have waxes added to their formulas. These extra waxy ingredients give butters a thicker texture and allow them to leave behind a lightweight layer over the skin that does not become completely absorbed. This layer acts as a barrier to reduce evaporation. Butters are ideal for skin that is very dry and for areas that are prone to dryness like the hands, feet, elbows and knees.
Ethnic lotions, creams and butters differ from one another in many ways. To find the ideal moisturizer for your daily regimen, you can compare the fragrances of the products, the sizes of their packaging and the benefits of the ingredients that they contain.
