About Nail Polish Strips

Nail polish strips are self-stick tabs that are made of materials similar to the ingredients found in traditional nail polish. The tabs already have beautiful nail art on their surfaces, so all you have to do to get an instant manicure is apply the strips. Once correctly applied, nail polish strips look identical to natural nail polish. There are two main types available on the market: traditional polish strips, which only require the use of a few nail implements for application and gel nail polish strips, which require curing or hardening with an LED light.

Why Strips?

Nail art helps you express your individuality and gives your nails an eye-catching appearance, but it can be very difficult to get the nail art look at home. Even after practice, it can take a long time to perform a full manicure and pedicure with elaborate nail art, and if you make a mistake, you have to start all over with the nail. Nail polish strips make nail art looks incredibly easy. Typically, a full manicure or pedicure can be done in 15 minutes or less with strips, and errors are easy to fix.

Using Nail Polish Strips

Traditional nail polish strips typically last for a few days after application. To get the best results from the strips, you should begin by pushing down your cuticles with an orange stick or a metal nail implement. Use a nail file to buff your nails and then apply a small amount of nail polish remover to each nail. Then, find tabs that fit each finger and line them up. Press them on one at a time, beginning at the bottoms of the nails. Using an orange stick will help you remove any air bubbles. If the polish strip is out of alignment, just lift it and reapply. Once the polish is in place, use a nail file to remove any excess, and your manicure is complete.

Getting Gel Nails at Home with Strips

Gel nail polish strips allow you to get the benefits of a long-lasting gel manicure at home. Most gel strips can last for 1 to 2 weeks when properly applied and are very resistant to chipping. For your first application, you'll need to purchase a starter kit that contains an LED light. Each system works a little differently, so be sure to read the directions before use. The gel polish strips are applied in much the same way as traditional polish strips. You should ready your nails by pushing back your cuticles, buffing slightly and then putting on a touch of nail polish remover. Then, follow the steps outlined by the manufacturer to complete your gel manicure with convenient polish strips.
