I rated this shampoo 3 stars because it has a really nice fragrance. It smells better than any other baby shampoo I have used. However, I don't think it was solely effective in ridding my baby boy of cradle cap. My son's cradle cap finally went away when he was around 5 months old after massaging baby oil on the scalp and combing his hair out and exposing him to the sun/outside air in the spring. We consistently used this shampoo 2 times/week. However, we also used a small amount of Nizoral shampoo once a week (per doctor's orders) when the cradle cap was at its peak (sometimes it looked like he was peeling away 2 layers of skin). Slowly, but surely, the cradle cap disappeared.

My baby's scalp would dry out soon after washing his hair with this shampoo, but perhaps not as badly as it did after using Johnson's Baby Shampoo. The dryness may be attributed to the fact that it was winter and the inside air was dry.

The shampoo's consistency is very thick, so it is really hard to pour using one hand while holding your baby's head/body in the other hand. It really needs a pump dispenser. Anyone who has a baby will understand how impatient infants get when having their hair washed.

Note that my baby has really thick, curly hair as he is African American, so maybe this shampoo might work better for other babies with less hair. Since the fragrance is nice and my son had no adverse reaction to it, I will continue to use this shampoo. Since he no longer has cradle cap, this shampoo seems effective in keeping his scalp healthy and hair soft. My husband even uses it periodically. However, I cannot say definitively that this shampoo cured my baby's cradle cap.

Lastly, I think this product is overpriced, but it does last since it is so thick.

I tried a few other products for my baby's cradle cap, but this definitely worked the best. I would recommend it.

I bought this product due to it being natural. My 3 year old and 7 month old have cradle cap really bad. It has helped a bit with my son, but hasn't eliminated it. It has done nothing for my daughter. I have put it on and let the scalp soak, brush with a soft brush, rinse, and it is still there after 7+ washes with this!
