I take Tramadol, and on weekends take one Sat. AM then again at bedtime then first thing in the morning, MUST take Benadryl for the evening pill, and again for the morning pill, or I itch like crazy! Benadryl prevents any problems from my slight overdosing!!

I take this product at bedtime because it makes me drowsy. However, the effects have worn off by the next morning so I do not have problems getting up. This product controls my allergy symptons very well until the following morning when I take another allergy medication that does not make me drowsy to control daytime symptons.

I have a severe allergy to tomatoes and when a restaurant served me tomatillos in a sauce, I started experiencing anaphylaxis.

Luckily for me, a drugstore was only a block away. I quickly swallowed some Benadryl and was feeling better 20 minutes later. If I hadn't taken the Benadryl, I would have had to have gone to the ER.

Yes, I was groggy for the rest of the day, but that's to be expected when you take an anti-histamine. (Other 'non-drowsy' anti-histamines have other side effects, plus some people find that loratadine - Claritin Non-Drowsy - still makes them sleepy.)

Its the only thing that works for me!!! I have allergies to my dog and other unknown substances twice a year, all kinds of symptoms to an insane degree. It used to make me drowsy and cranky but that kind of went away once I got used to taking it.

This stuff really works, but it also knocks me out! I get so drowsy within an hour of taking it I can only use it at night. If you look at some sleep aids you'll see that their active ingredient is the same as in Benadryl, so I guess there's a reason! Even so, I take this at night (about an hour before I want to go to bed) and sleep super-soundly with no allergy symptoms waking me up.
