This worked very well for me intially so it is not fair for me to givve it a low star rating. I have severe allergies and notice that I have to swirch the meds I take for it around ever so often as it loses it's effect after some use. If you do not require allergy medicine daily or they are normal than this should work fine for you.

I always have this in my medicine cabinet due to the fact that it is very effective for multiple purposes. It relieves symptoms related to seasonal allergies (even better than some of the newer antihistamines on the market), relieves itching and swelling caused by allergic reactions, can ease cold symptoms, helps with motion sickness/queasiness, can be used as a sleep aid and even helps with anxiety. During the spring and summer, this is a great "two for one" product when taken at night. It relieves my allergy symptoms AND helps me sleep. Taken about an hour before bedtime it helps make me drowsy. Its' sedating effects can also help in anxious situations too- if I am anxious about a social situation, a Benadryl taken about an hour ahead of time may help. I find that its' sedating effects take about an hour to peak, though allergy relief or other types of relief occur sooner. Very effective product that has more uses than you realize! A medicine cabinet staple!

When the pollen starts here in the Northeast I start back on my benedryl, my eyes get so itchy and my throat so scratchy. This is the only medication that really works. It isnt just for pollen, can be used against dust, animal allergy, most anything.
