I am an insulin dependent diabetic and went on the OmniPod pump system awhile back. The pump works great except for I was having a problem with getting horrible itchy bumps a day or two after removing a site (you have to move the pump every three days and there is adhesive involved as well as a cannula under the skin). There are some very expensive solutions to this problem (surgical films) but the company rep told me to try spraying Benedryl on my pump sites after they are prepped but before attaching the site. It did not totally eliminate itching but it sure helps a lot and doesnt break the bank!

I carry it with me all summer in case of bug bites. It works much better than the cream version but it creates a sticky residue on your skin, so your clothes stick to it - or if you cross your legs, your other leg sticks to it! The containers also clog up very often. Usually, I can fix that by taking off the cap and forcing water through it. Sometimes, it's just stuck and I have to buy a new one - and that's a waste of money. But it's worth it. Gets rid of the itch.

This is MUST HAVE with you at all times. Great for bug bites or bee stings. Every parent and grandparent should have these with them at all times!

This is a great item to have in the cabinet at all times. Allergic rashes, stings, bits, etc. are all fixed fast!

Be aware that this Benadryl spray is alcohol based. I used on my hives but had already scratched at them so it stung a lot. Same thing for my little daughter. Had hives from grass or something and sprayed this on... she was screaming from the alcohol sting. I think I'll go with the Benadryl cream instead. Plus there is an odd sticky residue that almost seems to cause an itch on its own.

I found myself covered in itchy bumps from ankles to armpits after working in a tall grass field. I'd trade 1000 mosquito bites for the 100 chigger bites that I came home with. (At least mosquitos tend to stay away from some unmentionable creases!) Lanacane cream worked 0% of the itch away (tried it first) and the Benadryl Spray worked 100% of the itch away. I will be buying more Benadryl Spray. Wish I could return the unused portion of Lanacane for a full refund!

This product is terrible for bites! I am having an allergic reaction to spider and/or mosquito bites and I bought this thinking it would work for the terrible itching on my arms, it works for about 5 minutes and that is only on the open bites/wounds. Also this rpduct leaves a very sticky residue, similar to setting your arm on a lollipop and everything you touch or bump will stick to you.

This is fantastic stuff. I've used it on spider bites, ant bites, mosquito bites, and poison oak. Itches are so frustrating and this stuff works. Once you spray it on your skin, it relieves the horrid itch within a minute. Completely. There is no middle ground of a "sort of itch."
Depending on the cause of the itch, this spray lasts from 3 hours to a half hour. For instance, if it's a fresh mosquito bite, it might last an hour. If it's a 3 day old bite, it will last longer. I am currently using it on a MINOR and TINY case of poison oak, and am back to buy more since I am almost out. I am rating 4 stars instead of 5 because the spray nozzle could be better. It goes on thin and runny, instead of more of a light spray. Preservation tip: Do not allow this bottle to get hot in the sun. Store it in a dark, dry place, as you would all medications. The sun and heat will most probably cause it to lose it's potency. Shake before use.

I had shingles and tried everything on the market, and nothing really took away the itching. The Benadryl spray worked from the first application. It totally knocked out the itching, and gave me maximum relief. I'll keep it on hand for any itch that comes along!

I love this stuff. I'm very allergic to bug bites. Untreated bites result in huge welts that will stick around for more than a week and full recovery may take more than 3 weeks. If I can spray the bite within a minute, my recovery time is reduced to well under a week and the swelling is no worse than for a normal person. If I can get to it in less than 15 seconds I have almost no reaction. The spray is slightly sticky, but I still prefer it to the cream. If the bite is already inflamed the contact required to apply the cream will make it itch more. The spray allows me to avoid that problem.
